There appeared to be a misunderstanding between the hotel and Trip.com as we booked the stay with breakfast stated as included but the hotel reception said they had not provided breakfast for a long time, since Covid19 started. They needed to sort this between themselves. However, the manager was gracious to refund us the cost of breakfast at a nearby cafe. The location of the hotel was near to a number of bus stops for different directions. The view from our room window was very poor, just an internal air well.

We loved the friendly staff and historical and artistically decorated hotel. Room and bed was very comfortable. It was so convenient having parking in the garage beneath the building. Free wine in the evening was a nice bonus too!

Nice place to say. It hasn’t older feel to it, but some very contemporary touches. We had a great time.

The front desk was very friendly and helpful. Construction and noise outside was not great but nothing they could control. However the vent in the bathroom was a bit gross and dirty. The shower was a little aged, but understandable for the age of hotel. Loved the location with so many shops restaurants. Room was pretty great minus the bathroom. Shower handle and upgrade in plumbing would be of great help.

A friend and I traveled to Portland for a concert down the road. The hotel staff were very welcoming and kind. The room was clean, comfortable and made us feel safe in an unfamiliar area. I would definitely choose this hotel again if we take another trip to the Portland area! Lots of great places to check out within walking distance. The parking garage is a little tight, but I'm very thankful that I was able to park my car there to get it off the street!

We had a wonderful stay. The rooms were well-insulated and had a really cozy feeling. The beds were so comfortable, the linens extra-soft and luxurious. The room has a window you can open, which allows for air circulation, and a good heating system. Also, it is really close to Powells Bookstore, Whole-Foods and restaurants and shopping

Hotel is a little bit dated but our bedroom was lovely. It is in a very convenient location - shopping, great restaurants, theater and Powell’s Bookstore all within minutes.

I love this older hotel. So much charm. Its in a great downtown location. I had a terrible night sleep. The mattress and pillows are awful. So much pain. But i will stay here again.

This is one of the few properties in downtown that has a kitchen. Most hotels don’t include a microwave anymore so you can’t reheat your food if it gets cold.

This was our second time staying here and it feels like it is in decline. The first room had broken glass on the floor when we checked in. They promptly moved us to a similar (but smaller) room with no real attempt to check that we were satisfied. You have to call for cleaning and you have to ask for coffee supplies. It just feels very budget now and it didn't feel that way before. I'm hopeful things will improve with time. Same for the neighborhood, last time around it seemed very safe now not as much, definitely have to keep on high alert in the area.

Service and rooms were great, as always. Construction and homeless around the neighborhood distract a bit

Well the staff was amazing. 32$ for parking totally and completely OUTRAGEOUS!! When we got to the room it sounded like someone was knocking on the door every hour. Finally figured it was some machine going on and off. Very very annoying. The shower head was AWESOME however the drain was broken and wouldn’t stay open and I couldn’t take it out. So while I was taking my shower the bath tub filled up with water. Which at the end I had to go ahead and hold the drain so it could drain. That frustrated me.

Loved the room and the staff were great but there was an incident. there was a fight between a few people in the room next to us and it got violent with alot of slamming and yelling. I hope everyone's OK.

Overall very ok. Hotel was clean, and friendly staff. Room was ready early which was convenient. The bed was more comfortable than many other hotel beds, which was a pleasant surprise. The shower was clean, but the water pressure was the absolute worst I’ve ever experienced anywhere. I understand high efficiency shower heads, but this shower was downright useless. Couldn’t have gotten less wet if I tried.
