B&B Raggio di Sole

B&B Raggio di Sole is the place to stay if you are visiting Agrigento and the Valley of the Temples or Scala dei Turchi (Turkish Steps). It is located on the cute main street of Porto Empedocle, loaded with restaurants and places to get an aperitivo! We stayed for 3 days in July 2021. The host Giuseppe was outstanding. He was the nicest person and made our stay great. The rooms are new, clean and the air conditioning works great. Showers are new and water pressure is good and hot water is excellent. He gave us a big bottle of water each day, provided a typical Sicilian breakfast with fresh pastries and coffee and gave us an outstanding dinner recommendation for the freshest fish in town. Best of all- he has a boat! He runs swimming and snorkeling excursions to the famous white rocks of the Turkish Steps - Scale dei Turchi. It was a private tour for our family of four. He took us to three outstanding swimming spots, including swimming at the Turkish Steps! The entire trip was 4 hours and it is the BEST way to see the coast and the famous steps. The swimming spots were very interesting and each was different. He was excellent with my two teenage daughters and kept saying that it was our vacation and he is happy if we are happy. The boat is perfect for four people. We had the coastline to ourselves- no crowds, great swimming, and a relaxed day. He even brought water, juice and sandwiches for us! The boat trip is an extra fee but it is very reasonable and an incredible experience. Parking is also included and it is located right behind the B&B. The B&B is located inside an apar**ent building os you get a local feeling which is great. We can't say enough about the hospitality. It was above and beyond. We highly recommend this B&B and we will definitely return again for another boat trip with Giuseppe!
