The best part of this hotel were its king-sized bed and the restaurant through the lobby. I really wanted to like this hotel, but ... I felt unsafe!!
The scary part was that the door had a 'digital lock' w/out any actual deadbolt lock or chain latch. We couldn't test the door to see if it locked because it obviously would open from the inside.
One night I got so paranoid as we arrived later than usual, there was a different guy in the reception area who opened the main door for us (there is only one person manning the front door/entire hotel during the night ... or day, for that matter). W/out an inside lock to our room, I kept hearing noises and imagining someone entering our room as we slept. We had to place the portable AC, a chair, and our luggage against the door to feel somewhat safer.
The pictures look better than what the hotel actually felt like. Visible wear and tear were noticeable on the bathroom cabinets, there was a weirdly-placed tub right in the bedroom/outside the bathroom area, and the toilet had an ill-fitting semi-frosted glass door with a wide slit on the sides which made it uncomfortable to do your business in private.
It's about 4-5 blocks from the central main square, which you have to walk through the solitary dark streets to get back to the hotel at night.
There isn't an elevator so you have to go up about 25 steps to the second floor. Albeit, there is a nice view down to the cafe. The king-sized bed was firm and comfortable, with clean sheets.
