Check-in was seamless, smooth, and easy.
The room is spacious, well ventilated, relatively quiet, and comfortable. The general hotel grounds are peaceful, quiet, and well-kept, including the pool.
Although the room is generally clean, there are insects, especially ants, so a round of extermination by the hotel or bringing bug spray would be useful. I didn't care for the restaurant, as the service there wasn't attentive, and the menu wasn't appetizing. There are other nearby restaurants to choose from.
Overall, the service workers are professional and competent. The only issue I had was with one of the security personnel named Dixon, who tells a sad story about his difficult and impoverished life and asks for money before the guest checks out. This is improper, awkward, unprofessional, inappropriate and not something that hotel guests should have to deal with.
Nonetheless, this is a very good place to stay. It's better than most of the places I have stayed in during my visits to Sosua, so, on my next visit, I will pack my bug spray and look to book a room at New Garden Hotel.
