Never stayed here before and was pleasantly surprised by the standard of the rooms, very clean and separate living room and bathroom to bedroom. We stayed AI and the food was good but like all AI places can get a little repetitive. The AI drinks are only local and even the upgrade package only gives you certain branded drinks. There are a number of pool areas and they are very nice although the adult only area does not cater for more than about 20 people. The gym was very up to date and clean. The staff in the main were very friendly and eager to please. The entertainment left a little to be desired but perhaps it’s better in the summer months. The reason I have only given 4 stars is that our balcony was adjoining other balcony’s where people could easily walk over and in fact some children kept running over the balcony’s which is not their fault but is a downfall of being on the bottom floor, (restaurants and lobby bar/reception are at the top. There is a 709 step walk down to the beach but that’s not a real problem as long as you can walk ok but the taxi’s are only 5/6 euros to the beach or the numerous bars and restaurants in Puerto Rico. We would stay there again but would request not to be on the bottom as all the other floors had their own balconies.

You know when you’ve chosen your hotel based on universally good reviews and you have a mild panic that there too good to be true? Well from our perspective believe them, overall, this was without doubt a wonderful week’s break. Drinks, the plastic cups are fine, and you have glass ones in the evening, yes, their small drinks but you can get 2 per person when you go to the bar, for us the small drinks worked. Spirits are local yes, but as always solid measures. Didn’t try cocktails so can’t comment on them. Water and soft drinks are self-service which is great and so much easier than going to the bar, especially for the kids. Drinks during meals in the restaurant are self-service too, which again is fine especially the coffee, an actual coffee machine that gives you a proper cup in the morning, a small thing for me but made a difference. But during peak season I can imagine people will get fraught when busy. Food, this was the only difference me and my partner had, but only the evening meals, by her own admission she is a fussy eater and even though there is plentiful choice she struggled to enjoy what was on offer (I thought the food was wonderful), the extended continental breakfast such a good idea (and quieter lol). The snacks are great, the burgers and hotdogs weren’t cheap ones and there was a good variety to choose from. My only slight criticism was the undercooked breakfast sausage. The room, we chose the Junior Suite with sea view, my only criticism, yes, we had a sea view but a whopping great hotel too (but I was told to get a grip lol), but the room itself was fantastic roomy with for us, with lots of storage space. The staff, all fantastic, courteous, efficient and a credit to Servatur, the cleaners came daily and once folded my partners PJ’s and put them on her pillow, what a wonderful sweet touch, thank you, also they found her wire charger, much relief lol. As with other reviews universal praise for the Childrens animation team, the best I’ve seen in a hotel, evening entertainment was enjoyable too, the best being The Grand Circus (The Greatest Showman) that was excellent. One downside (for some) is this is a big hotel, we had 2 lifts and several steps to our room. Also, as with other reviews it’s built on a cliff, the outside steps to the harbour/beech are fine going down but only the hardy attempt going back up, but its’s less than €5 in a taxi from Puerto Rico. Overall, this is the first hotel I’ve ever wanted to return to, especially with the family, recommendations are always subjective, but I chose wisely based on ones I read.

This is our review of The Servatur Puerto Azul . When we got to our room it was not what we expected from the photo’s online. No draws to put our clothes in we had to live out of our suitcases for the week. Only 7 hangers to hang clothes on. No space to put 2 suitcases out of our way while we were in the room. We asked for a sea view and all we got was the back of another hotel as a view from the balcony. For All Inclusive the food was terrible. Very limited choice and what was there didn’t look good . Pizzas were so thin they were burnt on the bottom and tasted like cardboard. On an afternoon you could only take 2 small beers away from the bar at a time, if my wife wanted a drink I had to come back to join the queue again to get her drink. Staff on reception were ignorant and not that helpful ignoring you when you turned up to ask for a taxi coz the food was that bad we had to eat out in Puerto Rico for the week. I will say the bar staff and waitresses who cleaned our table of glasses were very polite and friendly. The hotel pool area was the best thing about the hotel. Plenty of sun beds so you didn’t have to get up early to get one and everything was laid out nice. Cleaners knocked on your door early even though you had put a Do Not Disturb sign on the handle of the door. It was so flimsy that we often found it had blew off on was on the walkway. If you don’t like music you have to move away from the main pool area to other sun bed areas because they played it so loud all day. Even my earphones couldn’t cut it out if you were too close to the speakers. I went there for a week to see what it was like as I had booked for 2 weeks in September. Good job because I have now cancelled the 2 weeks in September and will be looking to book another hotel. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone at this moment in time.

100000% recommend! Spent last week there with my partner. We found this place online, it has just been renewed and opened like 2 month ago. It's the most beautiful hotel I've ever been. It's so inviting and relaxing from the moment you walk in, feels like luxury. The views from all around the hotel are absolutely gorgeous! The sunrises and sunsets are picture perfect. There are swimming pools are for every age, it never felt too crowded. There's also an adult area where you can find some quiet and peace while relaxing in a cabana. There's always so many activities to keep you busy with the hilarious entertainment team! Aqua gym is a must! I recommend doing the all inclusive as you can help yourself to drinks all day, and trust me you will get thirsty in the fantastic heat. The staff is amazing, always smiling and happy to help. Never felt so valued as a guest. Honestly they all need a rise. Try the pizzas from the snack bar, the best. Food is good and there's lots of variety you won't be bored. This hotel is perfect, only tiny thing is location to the beach, but it only cost £4 to get there so not a big deal. There's more areas still being built like a spa and adult area with infinity pool so we will definitely be coming back next year to check them out. If you were doubting about booking here just do it you won't regret it. It's the best in the area you will feel like Kings and Queens. Thanks to all the team, see you soon.

Just returned from a brilliant week of sun and relaxation at this hotel. Sunny every day and temperatures about 23 from 12-5pm. I think the negative reviews are unfair, this is a 3 star hotel but people are expecting 5 star. Yes the glasses are small for drinks but it’s not a 5 mile hike to get a drink. The drink stations are all over the hotel complex. We bought cold cups with us to use at the pool and they were really handy as they held 700ml. As for people not finding their hotel rooms, you need to listen to the instructions given by the reception and follow the map. Too many people just don’t pay attention The only point i would agree on is the evening entertainment, some nights weren’t great. It wouldn’t be too bad if the indoor bar had music but it doesn’t. Many thanks to the staff for making our stay so great. Especially the chefs in the restaurant, hands down the best choice and quality of food I’ve ever had at an all inc hotel.

Positive = The most beautiful hotel, I have ever stayed in. From the second you arrive it is the epitome of luxury, it even smells divine within the reception area on arrival. The staff are all wonderful helpful and friendly from reception/ bar/ restaurant animation/housekeeping The hotel is kept immaculate and the views are stunning. The rooms are beautiful and the beds unbelievably comfy, so much so, it was tempting to have a long lie in every morning. It was also my birthday during the trip and they provided a bottle of Prosecco and a card which was a lovely thoughtful surprise. Negative= alcoholic drinks were very weak, no proper milk for tea/ coffee drinkers and the food, although plentiful was sometimes cold and slightly repetitive. But overall a stunning hotel, lovely staff and just a wonderful place to stay

I went with my two boys (12 & 16) and could not find fault with anything. The animation team are great fun and get everyone involved with activities. When we had a tiny bit of rain they took the entertainment inside to do a Kahoot quiz. Thank you team, especially González (very funny) and Angel. The food was lovely, lots of variations. Even for the fussiest of eaters. Rooms were clean and fresh, cleaners came in daily. Reception are extremely helpful, nothing was too much trouble. I would definitely recommend and return in the future.

We saw this hotel on the Jet2 site at an unrepeatable price last year, no doubt because renovation was ongoing at the time and there were only a handful of reviews. We are regular visitors to Amadores, generally staying at the excellent hotel just in front of and beneath the Servatur, and couldn’t resist a look. When we arrived renovation seemed finished so we got a bargain. This is an excellent FAMILY hotel. It is a very large hotel spread over a hillside, which brings advantages but also disadvantages, particularly to the less mobile. Impressively renovated regardless of expense, spotless spacious rooms, generous shower rooms with doors that close, plenty of storage and a beautiful view from a generous sized side sea view balcony. Stunning views over Puerto Rico and it’s marina from the pool. Staff generally could not be more helpful, and as others have said a brilliant food and drink offering for families, if not for more discerning foodies. Very glad we went for a look and would have no hesitation in recommending it to our children, or returning for a family holiday. A few drawbacks for us but we found our way round and ate and drank well enough. We will stick to adults only but it would be unfair to give less than 5 stars purely because it wasn’t ideal for us silver surfers.

Great holiday hotel for our one week in Gran Canaria during mid April. Hotel staff very friendly and helpful. English widely spoken as were other languages ie French and German. The hotel is set on top of a hill, with lovely sea views and also over the local area. You can walk to the beach but I’d recommend a taxi as it’s a fair walk and the roads are quite steep. Cost was about €6 each way. There are a number of pools at the hotel, which cater for children as well as adult only areas. There is a children’s pool area by the main pool as well as slides and other water based play area pool. There was also a separate children’s play area. We can’t comment on these as we didn’t visit them. The animations team worked hard over the week and the evening entertainment was to a good standard often by visiting acts. Sometime two separate acts in one evening. Buffet selection at all meal times we both found to our liking with plenty of choice and all food very good. You could eat your own weight in a week easily if you wanted to!! 🤣 We had the all inclusive package and so poolside beverages of coffees, soft drinks as well as alcoholic drinks were included. All tasted good and there was even wine and beer available in the restaurant at meal times. Self service which we had no issue with. Our room was spotless with plenty of space for just two of us though it had a sofa bed in the lounge (we’d upgraded to a junior suite for a small additional charge), so it could have accommodated three easily or four at a push. Our own slight criticism would be around finding our room on arrival. This seemed a common theme amongst other new arrivals. If the hotel were to improve in one thing, better signage or directions to rooms would be most helpful. We’d happily stay again and recommend to friends.
