Fiesta Americana Puerto Vallarta All Inclusive & Spa

We ended up getting to the property a couple hours before check in but our concierge Franco greeted us at our first step out of our shuttle. His team grabbed our bags as he escorted to the front desk. We had 3 rooms booked and they were able to give us 2 of them adjoining. We had to wait a couple hours to check in but we got our bracelets, a quick tour and sat down for some lunch a few drinks while we waited! Smooth check in process! The service from housekeeping to bartenders to pool servers were all so friendly and fast! The pool food was great for snacking on. The breakfast buffet was decent with a good variety of choices. Drinks were mostly small unless you asked for a bigger glass, which was never an issue. All 3 of our rooms were pretty clean and housekeeping kept up with everything pretty well! The beach was a great spot for sunsets. Few vendors around but they weren’t too much of a bother. Not much of a swimming style beach due to how rough it was at the time we visited. The lobby bar was a good time in the evening with live music! All in all, we would definitely head back!
Puerto de Luna Pet Friendly and Family Suites

Rented a airb&b in the complex in January then a suite in the hotel for part of February. The place has a great pool, enough lounges, comfortable beds and great staff and security, beautiful landscape, the restaurant in the complex was good but only open in the morning . Close to restaurants and shopping centres. Our suite had kitchen ( that what we wanted coming from a airb&b) but was extremely minimal we had to purchase several kitchen items like dishcloths, lighter for the gas stove, pay for drinking water etc The airb@b didn’t mention it’s pet friendly, most people did look after them but some could be annoying (barking) the suite was open to the hallway and stairway so could be noisy. Also didn’t care for noisy day visitors or radios by the pool, prefer my own music (I use headphones). I know I’m picky but I’m on holidays and paying.

While I love this hotel and have stayed 10+ times, my most recent experience was very disappointing. After check-in a woman approached me wearing a nametag that I believe said ”Fernanda” with the ”buganvilias resort” logo on it. She was older, maybe 46-56 years old with her hair braided in a ponytail behind her back. She tried to sell me the ”all inclusive” package (which I simply will never buy) and I politely declined ”no, thank you :)”. She pressured me harder and said ”what will you do on your vacation?” - obviously a silly question. I can enjoy myself without an all inclusive package. She then said ”what about WiFi?” and I stated ”The WiFi at this hotel is free...?” she said ”no, not anymore”. I then stated ”Well, the WiFi at this hotel is free for me, as I am Bonvoy Gold status” and she said ”no, not anymore”. I then made a frustrated face and she said ”Come on man, you're on vacation [so just let me upsell you!]”. She then placed her hand over her nametag and quickly walked away. I can tolerate being solicited, but I cannot tolerate being blatantly and repeatedly lied to. The WiFi at this hotel was in-fact free for all, with enhanced WiFi complementary for Bonvoy Gold members and above. Hopefully Fernanda isn't there the next time I visit. Photo unrelated: showing off the beautiful property.
Hotel Mio Vallarta Unique & Different- Adults Only

My friend and I stayed at Hotel Mío for 9 nights and we had a wonderful time. It was our first time taking a trip outside of the US, and our stay at Hotel Mío did not disappoint. The entire staff was extremely helpful from the very beginning, from helping us get our bags to the room, to 24/7 room service, and their helpful accommodations to our language barrier. Most of the staff knew English, and if they didn’t, they didn’t hesitate to find someone who could understand and help right away. The woman helping us with our bags went out of her way to suggest night life that we may like to experience, making us feel welcome from the beginning. We spent a lot of time at the gorgeous rooftop pool, where we enjoyed drinks, food, and live music under the beating sun. We had an AMAZING server, Ali, for most of our time at the pool. She remembered us throughout our stay, remembering the drinks we ordered, and engaging in thoughtful communications, showing she went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and accommodated. The manager that we had seen almost every day at the hotel remembered us from the start, and made sure to check in on how we were in passing, while also remembering our orders and helping to accommodate our needs. We will definitely be back in the future, and we hope to see Ali and all of the other amazing staff there as well.

We really liked the hotel, the rooms are not like the images, at least we didn't get the modern rooms as in the images! Outside of that everything was fine!

The view from our room was fantastic, the pool itself is very beautifully designed with lots of trees for shade and privacy. However, I contracted Pseudomonas aeruginosa from the pool the very first night of the trip which ruined the rest of our stay as I couldn’t walk and was in severe pain. I knew immediately what was causing the swelling and blisters, so we went to the on-site medical staff to receive a prescription for antibiotics. Paid $155 for the doctor to tell me it was not an infection and to take ibuprofen. Gave it a few days treating with Ibuprofen and it was only getting worse. Ended up moving to another hotel, seeing another doctor to get the prescription I needed and the infection cleared up very quickly thereafter. If not for this combination, the stay would’ve been pretty good. Though I highly recommend you eat elsewhere, as the food was disappointing compared to what you can get at any other restaurant in the area. For the price we paid, we will be staying elsewhere next time.
