We stayed in this hotel after getting off the ferry from Ireland at Easter. This is a must do, my Irish in-laws were in awe, so was our 8 year old son. We will definitely be back as it is an amazing experience to stay in a homely French castle. Especially for the price.... Don't miss it. The setting is lovely, the rooms in the castle were comfortable and warm. The hosts made us feel at home, they were extremely accomodating when I rang them initially and the hotel does not feel over pompous at all. The location is ideal to visit D-Day landmarks (Utah, Omaha beach...), the local villages you drive through to get there are quaint. (Good choice of restaurants within 30 mns, we opted for the Auberge John Steele in Ste mère église.) The castle is a perfect stop over and it made us feel we wanted to stay longer. We will definitely be back and will recommend it to others.

Amazing setting. Laetitia and her partner are charming and very helpful, both speak good English. They have a massive renovation job on their hands and I would like to visit again to see how it’s going. Laetitia recommended two excellent restaurants for dinner each night we were there - Hotel de La Plage, don’t be put off when you walk in it was a delicious dinner, a small menu but very good. She also recommended and booked for us La Criee de Tomahawk, we were wondering what we were going to as we’d asked for seafood - it was seafood at its freshest really really good. The room was clean and comfortable with a view of the garden. The bathroom was teeny weeny and in need of an update. It had a hip bath with a shower and screen but you need to really step up to get into it, I whacked my foot a couple of times! The sound proofing is not great our neighbours came in at 11.45 and turned their TV on by 1230 my partner was getting a bit fed up so a gently knocked on the wall and they turned it off! Breakfast was OK but € for what you got. Nothing hot on offer, cold meats, cheese, breads, cereals, fruit (looked a little tired) a choice of hot drinks and fruit juice. I wasn’t impressed by the croissant they were not the rich buttery ones you expect to get in France they were a little dry. I think I’d head to St Malo for coffee and croissants. I understand that the outside rooms are more modern and renovated so I think I’d ask for one of them next time. A huge plus is the swimming pool which was perfect (temp) for a cooling off dip after a long day seeing D Day beaches etc. Overall a pleasant stay and I’d go again. Read up on the people who have stayed there it’s very interesting.

Grand and beautiful manor in a well tended garden. The interiors are carefully furnished, one feels history oozing… Our bedroom was very cosy and overlooking the beautiful countryside. The shower room is a bit dated. Breakfast was excellent and served on large tables. The people there are very friendly and made us feel at home. We can only recommend this place!

The Chateau offers a very pleasant environment to either spend the night or a few days to explore the area of the troop landings in WWII. The hotel is very close the ocean and has nice rooms and breakfast. Very enjoyable.

Beautiful Chateau well situated for a trip to Normandy (close to Utah Beach and Mere St. Eglise). The Chateau is in the process of updating but still beautiful. Very good breakfast. The owners/hosts were wonderful and very helpful. Would stay again.

The last night of our two week French trip. This lovely Chateau is in the process of being updated by a lovely couple who have a heck of a job ahead of them. Covid has had an impact on its redevelopment but we look forward to seeing it in the next couple of years or so. If you want luxury, this isn't the hotel for you, but faded grandeur? That's the one. We had a lovely quiet, comfortable nights stay. Only one downside, breakfast not included, and quite expensive if you indulged, so we didn't on this occasion. Great hosts. We would return as it's only 30 minutes from Cherbourg for the ferry to the U.K. And one other thing. Between 1942 and '44, Irwin Rommel, Goering and Goebbels stayed in the Chateau when inspecting the German Atlantic defences. We loved it!

Chateau de Quineville has to be one of the most luxurious hotels in the Cotentin peninsula. The rooms and the surroundings are perfect for a romantic holiday and the location is excellent for relaxing between visits to the WWII sites of Normandy. The buildings and the rooms were absolutely beautiful, and the views from the 2nd story room to the chateau grounds and the surrounding countryside were fantastic! The breakfast was likewise excellent, with plenty of fresh fruits and local produce. Laëtitia, the manager, was an absolutely wonderful host. She was extremely welcoming and accommodating to us, and clearly cared about her guests and the prestige of the chateau. I've never experienced such warm service anywhere in France. Parts of the chateau grounds were in need of improvements and renovations during our stay, but the hotel is under new management working to restore the place. Some parts of the yard has clearly suffered from both this year's drought and prior poor management, but that only means you can stay at the chateau much more affordably now than in a few years when the improvements are complete. I will definitely stay at Chateau de Quineville again if I get the chance to return to Normandy!

The castle is sorrounded by a wonderful garden and the building is an authentic old mamsion. The furnishings is very beautiful: carpets, golfen mirrors, pictures, sofà etc. are of high quaity! But the highlight is the breakfast: it is served in a wonderful room in front of the garden, with a wide selection of sweet and salted dishes. I strongly recommend a stay in the Cashel!!!

We visited the Chateau de Quinéville to celebrate our two-year anniversary after a family-packed holiday. The hotel recently changed management and it was very interesting speaking with the new Hotel Director, who spoke to us in detail about what has been changed/is in the process of being renewed. We're excited to return and see what they've done! The grounds are beautiful, we chose to have a picnic and they provided us with champagne glasses and anything else we needed to help celebrate our anniversary (we were even given a glass of champagne upon arrival)! The pool is a great size and is separate from the castle so it's open 24/7, which allowed us to go for a late-evening dip after dinner. Very clean and at a perfect temperature. Breakfast is very generous with all the essentials and fresh ingredients. Our bedroom was very spacious, the bed was comfy, we even had a jacuzzi bath.
