The Beaufort, Raglan

Drinks were nice. Food wasn’t. We sat inside the brasserie. Service slow. It was very old fashioned menu. I had to take the fish out of the batter and dint eat many chips. It’s like the 1970’s all over again.

We were delighted that we chose to eat at the Beaufort. The two course lunch menu was extremely good value and really delicious. The food arrived promptly and was served professionally by Aaron. We'd not visited before but would certainly go again if in the area. Definitely recommended!

An unplanned lunch stop. We were looking for a sausage and chips sort of lunch but the Beaufort menu was more upmarket, no obvious competition so we gave it a go. Nice inside, reasonably priced for the quality of the food which was very good, service when taking orders a little slow but nicely quick between courses, we had to fine someone behind the bar in order to pay. Maybe staff were busy with the funeral party. Goat’s cheese muffin very light and tasty, belly pork lovely and soft with nice crispy crackling. Very nice overall.

I went for a Valentines day surprise with my partner, we had our starters, our mains were forgotten, waited a hour & 20 minutes for them. Wernt asked by staff if we needed anything or if everything was to our liking. Ruined our Valentines day, Eventually got up & left, poor staff, poor management no wonder the place struggles.

The meal, wine and service was excellent for my birthday. The atmosphere was so friendly and the evening will not be forgotten! In fact we've booked for my daughter's birthday next week! Well done Beaufort Arms! See you soon! K. GREEN Thanks

Going here for a meal was always a special experience so thought it would be perfect for an anniversary lunch. Unfortunately it massively missed the mark. We arrived just after 2, the room had 3 other tables so nice and relaxed but it went down hill from there. The service was very slow it took an hour to get our starters (soup and whitebait) normally in restaurants they bring the children's dinner out with starters but this didn't happen so my daughter started to get fed up. Then when the food arrived we were missing one of the sides that come with a standard main meal because the waitress forgot to ask which option we wanted. I was over halfway through my meal by the time this side turned up. The meat itself was lovely but my husband and i chose different items from the menu and when it arrived we clearly had the same very bland sauce and the vegetables it came with didn't go with the dish and had hardly been cooked at all. We were constantly stacking the plates at the end of the table due to the slow service, didn't get as many drinks as we would have liked as we didn't get anyone's attention and we would have had desert if it wasn't for the 2hour period we had been waiting for lunch. We even had to wait to pay when the waitress said they would 'be right back with the card machine' i left and waited in the car for at least 20mins before the bill was settled. Really poor service, average food and my daughter being toughly bored enough though i brought plenty of games and toys to entertain her turned into a very disappointing visit.

I visited this Inn and Pub after exploring the nearby Raglan Castle. The Inn looked nice and cozy, but my friend and I were only there for the pub. The pub was classic Wales with a friendly atmosphere and board games available for playing. They have great cask ales including Butty Bach from the Wye Valley Brewery which I found to be very tasty. The patrons of the pub were generally friendly and the bartender was as well. This is a great place and as I always say " There is always time for a Pint"

We went for Boxing Day lunch 2023 as a treat. I had steak, the chips were cold and wrinkly, 1 mushroom, 2 cold huge onion rings the size of the plate. sent meal, back my wife’s chips were also cold, they replaced with fresh hot chips. Second order was white bait, no taste other than burnt oil from the fryer. First time I have ever sent two meals back!

Met with family, placed the order for the lobster 'SALAD', very poor meal, the lobster was over powered by to much mayonaise, all that was on the plate with it was a very large portion of mixed vegetable potatoe salad, when I say large, it was like two tubs of it had been plonked underneath the lobster, there was in fact no salad, it was advertised as Lobster Salad. My hubby had the venison, the wine chue was burnt, I had an Asian inspired starter, came with a Greek salad, feta and olives, this doesn't go together. Terrible presentation, not much in the way of flavour going on. The staff and atmosphere was excellent. Didn't create, didn't want to spoil the family get together.
