Better then Motel 6 off the freeway. Very nice, will stay here again. Customer service was great.

The place needs remodeling. I believe it’s under new management. Their sign was the old name. First room smelled bad. Phone was dirty sticky. Didn’t work. 2nd room the remote control didn’t work. Overall decent for a one night stay. The front desk had nice professional receptionist and great customer service

I personally did not stay at this location however my son stayed two nights arriving on a last minute scholarship to Simpson University. He hadn’t had time to secure an apartment so we were winging it and finding affordable hotels. When my son needed an additional two nights stay, I booked and PAID for an additional two nights stay. My son went to check in and was met by a different receptionist (I suspect the owner), and told there was a policy of securing a $250 deposit. This is not listed anywhere in their policy that I can find nor was any leniency granted to my son. My son also was not charged a $250 deposit for the prior two nights and informed the previous receptionist “didn’t know what he was doing”. If you value service, please avoid Abode (Rodeway Inn) motel. We weren’t going to complain about the rooms with our being appreciative of their daily rate being lower than the average in California, however they were below acceptable and the room was entirely too expensive to be treated indifferently. My son called me while checking in and I heard the receptionist being extremely loud and rude to him however when I called to confirm cancellation, the same person was friendly. I’m not sure what this was about and I hate to factor in race but I am only left with and assumption this may be the case. The name online doesnt even match!! We left about an hour after arriving LOL! My 7yo daughter Refused to sleep there after we found dead crickets in our room floor, I dont blame her. I didnt want to stay either. We were in town for a 2 day sporting event but we decided to just skip day 2 all together and go home. Its July and the pool was unusable, water was green.

Oh my God, this place is not only in the bad side of town, meaning homeless and druggies everywhere me and my boyfriend said there for 7 days, not once did they offer room service, the room was gross. After our 2nd night, we started noticing roaches. Nasty!!! We roughed it out with that, but the lady at the front desk was extremely rude. I happened to start my period and didn’t notice until I got out of the shower and we requested new towels and she said unacceptable towel, I’m going to charge you. We also used the towel they gave us for the floor to get out of shower, it got dirty and she said she was going to charge us for that too. I don’t recommend anyone staying here. Over charged for everything. You may ask how come we didn’t go else where, don’t have that kind of money. Don’t stay here

I made a reservation through *********** at this Roadway Inn in Redding for my daughter and granddaughter for 6/6-7 but they were unable to get to the motel tonight so I canceled the reservation through Austin. He canceled and verified there would be no cancellation fee and to let *********** know I canceled. I did that and they told me they would charge me a one night cancellation fee. I asked through an option on their website that there would be no cancellation fee and they said I had to ask the property to waive that fee. I did so and they were unaware that they had to verify with *********** so I called Austin back. He again was most helpful and left information for his boss since he is not working Monday. I will double check with Roadway Inn tomorrow to make sure I’m not charged a cancel fee. All this information is to let Roadway Inn Redding know that they have a valuable, well trained employee in Austin and that he offers his customers superior customer service. He deserves a raise and lots of praise. Thanks Austin. Sue Bartlett
