Hotel Diplomata Copacabana

Excelente opção para quem está à trabalho, mas não dispensa a oportunidade de curtir a praia de Copacabana.

An extremely simple hotel.. from breakfast to bed.. everything very basic.. if it's just to spend the night ok.. I made the wrong reservation and it was non-refundable.. I tried to change it but they wouldn't let me.. my boyfriend made a reservation at another nearby hotel and came to see me in a single moment.. he slept both nights at the other hotel.. but I was charged an additional fee of R$100.00 and when he left they knocked on my door at the same time to say this... that could have been dealt with at checkout or when I went to reception... I was staying... I wasn't going to run away! Anyway.. my mistake, I booked it wrong, but they could have resolved it in a way that would be good for both of us.. or let me cancel and rebook or at least not charge me a visit fee of that amount.. imagine if he had slept... drank coffee... those things... The location is also bad.. poor access to the beach.. we have to make a huge turn because it is dangerous to cross the street there.. Anyway... just to go in and sleep and go out again!! It offers no comfort. Low bed.. hard.. empty minibar.. hairdryer I had to ask for and it was ruined! I needed to change... I also couldn't delay the checkout for even half an hour.. there was a fee.. everything has a fee.. if you add up all the fees paid you book a much better hotel! Oh and the unbearable noise!!! Impossible to rest!! Just sleep really tired!! Otherwise there is no way!! And the horrible elevator too... two people at most and cramped.

It was peaceful, the service was excellent. Only the breakfast could improve. Few options!

Good cost-benefit. Excellent service and great location. They could improve the breakfast options and put smart TVs in the apartments. the elevator is very small. But overall we really liked it.

My stay at the Diplomata hotel was disappointing. The breakfast was appalling, with very few varieties and what little there was was not replenished. I asked an employee if there was a sandwich maker to make a hot mix, and her statement was "there was one, but they broke everything, so now there's no more". I tried to eat a cake and it seemed to be expired due to the taste. Honestly, I don't stay there anymore. If the person wants a place in a hurry to spend the night, it can be an option, for a moment of suffocation. Removing it is not really worth it.
