The Hive Hotel

Termini Central Station Rome|0.98km from Museo Della Pasta Alimentare
Great location. Any major attraction can be reached within 20 minutes. Spacious room with a very comfortable mattress. Very helpful staff both at the reception and during room service. We initially had a corner room, but found it a little noisy for us. At the reception they changed it without any problems for another one. There are several good restaurants nearby. Reception's recommendations were also excellent. The hotel does not have its own parking lot, but in the same building on the base floor there is a garage (not the hotel), which can be accessed without entering the ZTL zone. Price 35 euros per day. But opposite the garage there is a paid city parking lot, where you can also leave your car. To get into the hotel from a garage or parking lot, you need to call from downstairs so that a receptionist will come and open the door to the elevator hall. We liked the breakfast. There was a bit of a lack of variety in egg dishes, but there was plenty of other stuff. I think the main disadvantage is the paid gym and spa. And if the spa is somehow explainable, then the gym is usually free for hotel guests. The price for visiting guests is 9 euros. Restaurant is fine. You get the voucher with 20% discount when check-in so the price becomes reasonable. Overall we enjoyed our time at the hotel and will return here again. Rose Garden Palace Roma by Omnia Hotels

Via Veneto Rome|1km from Museo Della Pasta Alimentare
We enjoyed a 3 night stay at Rose Palace. The front desk gave us tired travelers a warm welcome that made us relax immediately. Our room overlooked the back of the American Embassy with guards stationed outside 24/7 so it was definitely safe. The hotel is a little off the beaten path from the usual touristy spots in Rome but in a very quiet area. The room was very clean. We had 3 in our room and the 3rd person had to sleep on a full size pull out couch. It was comfy for a pull out (you couldn’t feel the bar under the mattress) but unless you put up the bed every day the only place to sit were the beds. It had a small fridge and the bathroom was updated but limited on counter space around the sink. The buffet breakfast was geared toward a variety of tastes. Scrambled eggs, a variety of pastries, orange juice, fresh fruit, yogurt, cereal, cheese, meat, etc. When the weather was nice we enjoyed sitting outside in the garden. There is a tiny grocery store called Co-op around the corner where you can buy the basics. Also on the next block is an ATM in the alcove of the bank entrance that seemed secure to use. Reading older reviews we thought there was a restaurant in the hotel serving dinner but it turned out to just be a small bar. So we walked a couple of blocks north and ate at Cesarina and enjoyed a good meal and friendly staff. There were a lot of other restaurants to pick from in a 2-3 block radius. The ones on Via Vittorio Veneto appeared to be more expensive than the ones northeast of the hotel. There is a taxi stand a couple of blocks away and we used both Uber and inTaxi for rides back to the hotel.

NH Collection Giustiniano

Near the Vatican City Rome|1.74km from Museo Della Pasta Alimentare
Not far from the Angel Castle and the Vatican. There are also some small supermarkets and large supermarkets around, which can meet temporary needs. There are several restaurants on the way to the attractions, but the taste is difficult to eat, salty and fresh, or it is poor attitude, English is lame, and Italian is not standard. The employees are not really locals. It is recommended to eat at attractions or downtown. Check-in waited for a long time, it was impossible to wait, the speed of processing was Italian. Don't like chatting between colleagues. This is a Delta flight attendant hotel, after all, it is impossible to live around Rome Airport. The room type has a small balcony, you can experience the heat of the Italian night. Compared with the same nh hotel, the hardware is good, the bathroom is very good, there is a foot basin, there are many towels, and 2 TVs and a small living room. Daylight is also sufficient, and internal light is also available. Breakfast was okay and there were many varieties. Cheese had local characteristics, but no ham. The drink is too sweet. It is quite satisfactory. The coffee machine actually has no characteristics, a bit regrettable, how should there be an espresso, no ... Come to the airport, the rental price is too expensive, the bus is cheap, but the service is very poor, there is no service in Italy. Very similar to the front desk.

Casa Modelli

Casa Modelli

Trevi Fountain Surrounding Rome|0.06km from Museo Della Pasta Alimentare
Casa Modelli is a special oasis in the middle of the hustle and bustle of Trevi. The entrance on a quiet street - just one over from the loud and crowded fountain - is so unassuming, we weren’t sure what to expect. We arrived early, yet were greeted by Olga who pointed us to the wonderful *working* and *spacious* elevator which transported our luggage up to the 4th floor where Mariel showed us to our lovely two-bedroom family suite - two comfy bedrooms with a shared bath, and an adorable table and chairs for four where we could share a snack and a drink, or even breakfast. We even had a cute little refrigerator to keep our drinks cold after we bought them from the local supermarket. The beds are firm but comfy, the pillows and linens are good, and the bathrobes are a nice touch. Mariel provided us with a list of restaurant recommendations, and was very helpful when we needed to figure out where to find a pharmacy and where to pick up some items like drinks and toiletries. As many have noted, what really puts this property over the top is its terrace. While it’s a bit tricky to get up there for this old lady (steep steps, with a rope to help pull yourself up), it’s well worth the effort. It is a nice place to start each day with breakfast al fresco. Olga greeted us each morning with a warm smile and a delicious breakfast or pastries, fruit, yogurt and if desired, cold cuts or I even saw her make eggs for another guest. And when we were visited by yellow-jackets, she immediately swung into action to chase them away so we could continue to enjoy breakfast in the terrace. We especially enjoyed going up there to watch the sunset and cool off after a hot day in the sun, and can imagine relaxing up there with a bottle of wine and takeaway pizza under the stars. Thank you to Mariel and Olga especially for their hospitality! We recommend Casa Modelli to families and groups! Pro-tips: This B&B is a collection of apartments and suites (some with kitchenette and living area, and others basically two bedrooms with an adjoining bathroom, which is what we had). There is no reception desk, so be sure to coordinate with them in when you plan to arrive so they can meet you. Communication was smooth via email and on WhatsApp before and during our stay. While there are a couple places to hang a few things, there are no closets or drawers, or any place to store your luggage, so you’ll have to get creative. If you use conditioner, be sure to bring your own or pick some up at the local supermarket, as they don’t have any. But they do have lots of towels, shampoo, soap and body wash for everyone! Like another reviewer, we did notice that the shower drained very slowly, so we found ourselves showering in an inch or two of water, and had to turn off the water to lather up and turn it on only to rinse to avoid flooding the bathroom floor. But once we mentioned it to Mariel, she asked Olga to look at it, and it drained much faster during our next showers. The bed

This was the best overall hotel experience we have had in all our years of traveling. During our week stay, the hotel was comfortable to both sleep and relax in. During the day the street along the hotel had a bit of activity, but at night it was perfectly quiet. We were able to bring back and reheat food to avoid eating out all the time, which was a bonus. However, what made our stay exceptional was the staff (Umberto, Annalisa and Manuel). They were always genuinely and warmly welcoming us by name daily almost as if we were friends/family, offering great suggestions on places to eat and things to do. One of us had a dental issue and Annalisa was able to get us an appoint with her family dentist. On the day of the appointment, she was at the dentist's office to help with translating into English. Tell me a hotel that has staff that would do that? We could have stayed at any highly regarded hotel in Rome. But the daily interaction with the staff is what makes or breaks a wonderful vacation. Palazzo Scanderbeg is exceptional in every way and we would not hesitate to return with people like Umberto, Annalisa and Manuel at the hotel.

I will start from check in: This was easy, but the guy on the desk was rude and miserable. We were taken to our room by a guy who was slightly more pleasant. We were in Bernini 3. The room was spotlessly clean, but very very small, and dark. The mini bar was filled daily, as were the toiletries and towels, and the room was cleaned to a high standard, it also had awesome aircon. The down side was it’s general size and dungeon like feeling. The 2nd bed was a really thin “mattress” chair bed in alcove in front of the door to the balcony, which didn’t open fully, as the bed was in front of it. We asked for another mattress, as you actually fell through the one on it, which the hotel did for us. Overall the room was functional and clean, but not nice. I think looking at the website and Tripadvisor, the only room with no photos, which maybe due to the fact that you were unable to show how the room was. Breakfast was very nice and fresh made, and the man working there was very nice. The hotel was in the centre of everything, so is a great base, with the trevi fountain 1 minute away, and everything else within a 10-20 minute walk. Sorry for the 3 ranting, the room was terrible, but the hotel and position was great.

good location, at small busy street , just 20 m from Trevi fountain and lots of restaurants close. Rooms are decorated nicely but quite small and lthey would need renovatuion. In bathroom example was some of mosaic tiles off from floor and wall. Breakfast was very nice, plenty of food, lots of fruits and pasries, cheese and ham.

Well located and priced 3 star hotel. The rooms whilst small are modern and well appointed. Our room was in secondary building opposite. Beware of these rooms 117 thru to 120 as they place people or families that are travelling together in adjoining rooms. These people proceed to have regular conferences, debates and discussions in the hallway or between rooms with the doors open. They then come in noisily and slamming doors at all hours showing no respect for other guests. Request a room in the main building which houses reception and breakfast room. If you have any mobility issues choose another hotel. Ultra small lift only goes to floor 4 and breakfast is on 5. Breakfast area very confined for number of guests but food range good. No tea or coffee making facilities in rooms,
