We stayed two nights in Hotel Ramuntcho, St Jean Pied de Port, beginning our Camino in Aug 2023. We found the owners and staff very friendly, helpful and welcoming. The breakfast was excellent, plenty of variety and beautifully displayed. The rooms were lovely, bright and clean. We had a lovely view of the town from the windows. Altogether we had a really lovely experience.

A little grumpy at first welcome but thereafter a lovely stay and very helpful. (We did arrive pre-checkin time). Rooms basic but v clean and comfortable. Charming town to start El Camino. Breakfast fabulous and picnic lunch (essential for the first day of El Camino) was delicious, generous and great value.

This was our third stay since 2015. It is an excellent starting point for the Camino Frances. It seemed a but tired this visit and the staff was not as welcoming. But the basics in terms of location, cleanliness, and quiet still make it a winner.

AN ABSOLUTE DECEPTION; WE ARRIVED AT THIS PLACE AT 22:30, DOOR LOCKED AND NOBODY AT THE RECEPTION DESK. RANG THE BELL, KNOCKED HARD ON THE DOOR AND WINDOWS, BUT SIMPLY NOBODY WOULD SHOW UP. TRIED A SECOND TIME 30 MINUTES LATER, SAME THING. LEFT A NOTE SLIPPED THROUGH THE DOOR BUT THE HOTEL OWNER JUST SIMPLY CHARGED OUR STAY, NO EXCUSES AT ALL. QUITE A DECEPTION FOR AN ELDERLY COUPLE.

Very nice place in the heart of the city. Comfortable beds and good food. We would stay here again for sure. Very quiet in spite of the central location. Just down the street from many great restaurants.

Very quaint and comfortable hotel within the walls of the old part of St Jean Pied de Port. The people were kind and accommodating, the room was spacious and clean and there were several stores and restaurants within easy walking distance. Breakfast was included with our stay, and it was fresh and tasty. I would definitely stay here again and would certainly recommend it.

Mitten in der Altstadt gelegen. Schönes Frühstückbuffet. Zimmer zweckmässig eingerichtet (etwas in die Jahre gekommen) und sauber. Bin am 2. Morgen um 0600 los. Leider wurde auf meinen Wunsch etwas kleines für das Frühstück bereits am Abend zuvor ins Zimmer zu nehmen nicht eingegangen.

Om de Camino Frances te starten is dit een goed hotelletje, centraal gelegen,basic kamer ,maar heel vriendelijke gastvrije gastvrouw en gastheer met een superlekker ontbijt om de pittige wandeling fit en gezond te beginnen. Een aanrader.

No hay que pedirle más a este hotel. Está muy bien ubicado en el casco amurallado y justo al lado de la Oficina del Peregrino. El personal es encantador y están muy bien organizados. La habitación y baño muy pequeños pero limpios. El desayuno demasiado austero.
