I stayed here for one night while in Saint Louis. The hotel is on a busy street so expect some noise throughout the day and night. The room and bathroom were average but the amenities were lacking. The only toiletries provided were toilet paper and a tiny piece of bar soap. Dinner at the restaurant in the hotel was expensive (by Senegalese standards) and breakfast was average. The front desk staff were polite and friendly. OK for a one night stay.

My wife and myself lived in Senegal (Dakar) in the mid/late 80s and we are now paying our first return visit since then catching up on some of our old haunts. We are currently in Saint-Louis which - unlike Dakar which has changed dramatically (not all - I might add - for the better), particularly the Island, was much the same. This view was reinforced by our stay at the Hotel La Residence which is a delightful colonial property full of lovely artefacts - especially in the ground floor bar and restaurant areas. Our room was comfortable with lovely hot water in the stand alone shower. We had a corner room (#101) which offered two street views and convenient access to all the property’s amenities. F & B standards are high and we both enjoyed our breakfast and dinners - supplemented by friendly service. All in all, a most enjoyable experience and would challenge visitors to Saint-Louis to find a more comfortable or congenial place to stay?

Good clean room, tea and coffee in rooms, wifi, good shower. Beds comfortable. Varied menu for dinner, good service. Lovely roof terrace area with a few sun beds. Located within the main part of town with plenty of tourist shops and places to eat.

This is a great property location and charm. The pool claim sends you to another property. Pool pump not running and stairs into water missing. Di ning options in surrounding area more reasonably priced than hotel and very good. Street children begging are relentless.

The lobby, bar, and restaurant are beautiful. The hotel is right in the center of town and easily walkable everywhere. The rooftop terrace is perfect for sunset. The staff and service were great. We very much enjoyed our stay.

Quite overpriced hotel experience. We had a room for two on the third floor with bad WiFi connection for 46000 and totally overpriced breakfast for 11000 per person per breakfast. Simple shower with mold. Hard pillows. No recommendation or check very well beforehand. And skip the breakfast. We payed about the same for dinner.
