I had to find a different hotel for the rest of my stay in San Diego. Check in went fine. The pillows were very uncomfortable/crunchy, but the bed was ok. The air was a bit stuffy in the room. My next door neighbor started making excessive, violent noise starting at 6 am, and it didn't let up (ended up leaving at quarter to 10 so I could checkout on time), even though quiet hours were in place between 10pm-8am. No complimentary breakfast, which I wasn't expecting or prepared for. I could've worked with these things, and communicated these things with the staff, but the thing that made it so I had no choice but to leave was that there were no room darkening tools in the room. There was thin, cheap, white blinds on the windows of the main area and in the bedroom. I have severe photophobia due to my two seizure conditions and neuro conditions. I was at high risk of a bad seizure just from lack of sleep from that noisy neighbor. But the fact that my brain wouldn't be able to rest throughout the day because of the constant light, and that naps or sleeping past sunrise would not be possible, I had to leave before I ended up in the hospital.
