The room was horrible, bed sheets were used and not changed. This motel doesn’t have a late checkout. The receptionists were friendly. Overall 3/10

The location is on a concrete island. Literally. The on ramp to the freeway & the off ramp from the freeway. It was difficult to find the way to the “entrance” I felt vey nervous getting out of my car. It was nighttime and many street people hanging out at the building. The night clerk was so sweet and helpful. I think she could see the fear in my eyes. She put me in a room within view of the office. She also let me keep my car in front of office. The room was clean and comfy. The carpet was disgusting. Shower head barely worked. Overall, for the rate it was a good deal. They need to install a safety door latch. . I would have slept better. Checkout was super easy and friendly.

Front desk agent that worked at 8pm , was an absolute gem! She was funny , quick, efficient , so happy !!!, energetic , an absolute bundle of joy which made our moods elevate ! What an incredibly easy fast and fantastic check in!!! We absolutely loved her . Thank you to whom ever hired and put her there , you did an outstanding job at picking who’s at the front of the house!

Good for a short one night stay. Close to the San Diego Zoo. Very noisy at night. There was a domestic argument/situation in a room close to ours in the middle of the night (not the hotel’s fault). It disrupted our family’s sleep multiple times throughout the late night and early morning.

I would like to send pictures to support how i would describe this property, the condition of the room, the known homeless woman screaming in the halfway at 5:20am. I'm kinda surprised ******* lists this hotel. I'll look for a customer contact so I can send photos and more information.

Friendly check-in by receptionist Dora, Our room was basic and very clean. It was an 8 minute drive to Balboa Park. In the evening we walked to The Gaslamp District passing by homeless sleeping on the street, but no problems. Limited on-site free parking. I was told cars may double park to accomodate all, but we had no problem and had our own parking space. We would stay again.

Decent location, NE corner of downtown, able to walk to Gaslamp Quarter. This side of the neighborhood is a little run down—you get what you pay for. The room was passable, nothing special. Saw a few small bugs around, some surfaces weren’t totally clean. Don’t leave open food out in the room. The hotel is currently being remodeled, hopefully this will improve conditions overall, but right now it’s a bit of a mess due to construction.

This review is based on realistic expectations. The price and location were attractive - I want expecting perfection, I was hoping for pleasant people and comfortable accommodations. I was not disappointed!! It's a simple place, it lacks "fancy", it has a lot of courtesy and convenience. If you're heading to the convention center you're a few dollars away, with no lobby crowd competing for your ride. It's a very walkable location, but I used Uber to grab dinner - again, just a few dollars away. The headquarters hotels for the trade show (3 to 4X the $) were sold out, so I took a chance on this place. The next time, I'm choosing this place, first choice - I'll spend the money I save on great food and exploring the area - and still sleep comfortably here.

If you are looking for a place to stay in downtown San Diego and you are on a low budget, just looking for a place to sleep, with a comfortable bed, clean, quiet and free parking this is the place.

We lost the money we booked here. We arrived, and saw the property look nothing like online pictures. There were old irons and iron boards at check in if you need one to take. We didn’t complete our check in we left. To find out that for the same price this place got us for, we paid for a room at the hard rock hotel in downtown. This place looks like a half way house don’t stay here if you can avoid it

Parking limited. The room latch was missing in the first room that had no carpet. Transferred to second room that appeared to have been used. One of the wash cloth was strewn over by the sink and appeared to have been used. The peep hole had a was of tissue stinking out of it from a previous guest. Parking limited. Homeless people loitering on property ground Sign says no smoking within 25 feet of building. Other guest smoking at the steps in front of office and had to walk thru the smoke to get to my room.
