Alexandra Hotel

Seemed like a very fun hotel bar and pool situation. Cheap drinks, good music, beach vibes. Clean and quiet. We were only here for a night before we caught an early flight.

Amazing hotel, definitely higher than a 2*! We just returned from 7 nights at this lovely hotel and couldn’t wait to write a review as it is a total hidden gem. The hotel and room is spotlessly clean, lovely spacious balcony, great pool area & super comfy bed! Staff were all very nice and on our departure from the hotel a gentleman (which I assumed is the owner) shook my hand, thanked me for our visit and invited us back next year. Just a lovely gesture. It also had a good age range and mix of people from couples, families and friends. We absolutely loved seeing the planes going over the hotel and it didn’t bother us whatsoever! Location is fab too- mini market right beside hotel, 10-15 minute walk to centre with buses to Fira for €2 (bus takes about 15-20 mins) There is a beach within a 5/10 minute walk which has some nice comfy sun loungers down the bottom end if you want to get away from the poolside. If you do decide to stay beside the pool the sun loungers and parasols are lovely and pool is great. In the centre of Kamari there are great eateries and shops. Our favourite was Souvlike for their gyros, at €4.90 for one quick self service or take away and absolutely delicious! Quicky’s just beside it also does great ice cream. We found the food and drink offerings at the hotel very good and value for money good portions and only €1 for a 1.5 litre of water. The only thing I would say would be the price of the spirits is a bit high, €10 for a vodka & coke so we didn’t drink too much at the hotel. I feel if the prices for the alcohol were a little less, we would have definitely drank a lot more and I’m sure other people would be the same in turn more people drinking and more money being made. Overall, thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel and cannot wait to return. Would recommend this hotel to anyone looking to go to Santorini

Stayed at this lovely hotel for a 5 nights in October, weather was fabulous. Rooms were great, really clean hotel. Great little bar and pool area although didn't sunbathe here we preferred the beach. The breakfast was ok but basic you could eat inside which was a bit hectic giving canteen vibes, so we either took it back to our room terrace or ate it by the pool. Staff were lovely too, I would certainly return and stay in Kamari, I would not want to stay in the hustle of the main tourist spots it's just too busy and commercialised for us. Bus service was great and very cheap. Location of hotel was great short walk down to the front loads of lovely restaurants. Charming little place book it!

Wanted to write an initial review, first impressions and all that. WHAT A LOVELY LITTLE PLACE. The staff are soooo nice, Hotel is immaculate. So pleased with our room. €6 for a pint which is pretty much back home prices. I have eaten yet but just saw a few meals delivered around me and they look great. So pleased so far, can’t wait to keep updating

What a great little hotel: Super friendly staff, immaculate room and bathroom, complete with a decent fridge. The room had air-con which we didn’t use, but I would imagine in the summer you would. The hotel has a lovely pool and great sunbathing area with parasols. Pool bar served a great menu for very reasonable prices 6-14€ and stocks a range of beers, wines, cocktails, soft drinks, fruit juices etc Next to the hotel is a mini supermarket which sells all essentials if you’ve forgotten anything or want snacks. Hotel staff were always available to speak with and in the foyer they have displayed the local bus timetable to various destinations across the island. A great little gem of a hotel.

What a fantastic place this hotel is, the staff are more than helpful and everyone is always smiling and cheerful. The hotel is spotlessly clean and it has that family feeling to it . The breakfast is fresh and there's a variety of foods to choose from. It's ideally located right next to a lovely little supermarket and 5 minutes from the towns bars and restaurants. We loved every minute of our stay here and have booked again for 2024 summer.

I had a lovely weeks stay here with my partner. I definitely believe this is worth more than 2 stars. The bed is super comfy, rooms are cleaned daily and bed linen is changed as well as towels. Amazing service and tasty food.

What a fantastic local hotel! The cleanliness and politeness first of all is outstanding. The reception is classic and the reception staff are extremely helpful and polite. The bar staff are top quality. The pool area is stunning and very well maintained. The cleaners are outstanding. Cleaning everyday and always going the extra mile to leave our room and outside space spotless. The perfect hotel in the perfect location for families or a relaxing holiday away from the busy towns of oia and Fira but close enough to bars and restaurants of kamari. You can discover the whole island within 30mins of kamari. Thank you so much hotel Alexandra. Much love and see you again soon.
