Very nice and quiet area, there was construction going on, but not on the day we stayed since it was New Year’s Eve/Day. Staff was polite, room was spacious and spotless.

I'm currently staying here and they gave me a room surrounded by teenagers traveling with their hockey team. They are being extremely loud next door, in the hallway, and out on their balcony. I have called the front desk twice to complain. The noise continues.

I never write reviews for hotels, but was left with no choice. The experience was so poor.
The entire hotel was under renovation. There was no warning about this when booking. Forget getaway and respite from medical appointments at Mayo Clinic, this was staying in the middle of a construction zone. Absolutely unacceptable. I have lung disease and hope I wasn't exposed to dust or other fumes.
The lobby was under construction and very difficult to find in dark. It was in a makeshift area. The stairs next to my room were covered in paper for painting. Felt dangerous going up and down. The area directly across from my room was a makeshift door with construction hidden behind. The noises were audible through the day. Every view was of storage crates, worker trucks, and construction in progress.
On top of this, they had the audacity to charge full price, including a pet fee and parking pass fee! They should have payed me to stay in the middle of this mess. Wish I had booked elsewhere, but had arrived after a long road trip and needed to rest.

Arrived Sunday, asked for MAID Service Every Day, had to go down myself Tuesday Night to get Towels, coffee, toilet paper. Finally got MAID Service On Wednesday. Had to extend our stay until Friday morning, NEVER saw another MAID. Never had local channels the whole time we were there, got others like ESPN we didn't want to watch. First night to draw you in was $108.00, rest of the nights $227.00 plus big taxes. There is no breakfast in this facility unless you pay for it and closest restaurant was Fountain Hills about 5 miles away. Was told I should get a Discount for our troubles but NOTHING was forthcoming. Won't stay here again, $250.00 a night you should get TV and Maid Service and ALSO NO INTERNET the whole time we were there. Go to Fountain Hills only a few miles up the road and more worth the price asked.

The Sonesta Select Scottsdale is a nice little boutique size hotel adjacent to the Mayo Clinic Scottsdale campus. We stay here often when attending appointments at Mayo Clinic...very convenient. All of the staff have been very friendly and accommodating. Rooms are clean. The hotel has a small cafe, (which was not open this trip due to construction). They are currently going through a top to bottom facility renovation...which is looking great...but just know the construction is happening during your stay (as of Nov/2023), so expect a bit of noise, construction clutter, etc. It looks as though their reasonable room rates reflect the inconvenience, so it's a trade off:) We don't mind the inconvenience, as we are only there for hospital visits and not on vacation. I rate them 5 stars all around, as they meet and exceed expectations for a moderately priced hotel.
