A very good hotel set in the Yorkshire Dales. Service is hot and miss. The reception team are incredible and go the extra mile. The F&B team seem indifferent and grumpy. One particular waitress kept rolling her eyes at us! The spa is great, the staff are very strict. I understand there are rules and regulations but delivering those rules and regulations to the customer needs work! The menu in the bar and restaurant is the same! Again, understand why they do this operationally but would have preferred more options. The food was, in generally, bland. The desserts however were excellent so they clearly have a good pastry chef. The breakfast came within about 1 minute after ordering, which tells me that they hot hold it in the back. Which, again, is fine but perhaps give the customer 5 minutes or so to make their toast! In general a very good hotel but service needs refining.
