Wingate by Wyndham North Little Rock

We were given a room that had been smoked in. The elevator smelled of smoke. When I brought it up to the attendant she said - I’ll make a note so you don’t get charged The $200 in extra cleaning fees. The Wi-Fi password did not work was told only staff have the password. In my view crap hotel. Barry

I was worried about staying here after seeing the reviews. Here are my observations; Whatever is making the overwhelmingly strong perfumed smell around the check in area needs to be either stopped altogether or replaced with something MUCH less strong. I had to kind of hold my breath at check in and still ended up having an asthma attack by the time I reached my room. It is offensively strong. I don't know if it is a plug in, incense or what but it is an incredibly strong scent and not good for anyone with allergies or breathing problems. The painting of the trim black in the hallway and rooms was a good idea. However, it looks like it was done in haste and with no skill. It actually takes away from the appearance of the decor. It gives the impression that the building is poorly kept. It would be worth the time and expense to have it touched up. The poor paint job gives a Very bad impression. The hallway was the worst, but it was true of our room too. The rooms are actually nicely appointed with good furniture and tasteful decor. The beds are nice as well. But the shoddy paint job makes it look bad. Don't let an easy fix be the cause of lost tenants. I didn't go to breakfast, but my husband said it was just awful. The few things offered were improperly prepared. Either under or over cooked to the extreme. The coffee was poor. A small breakfast is fine. But it has to be done properly with quality offerings. Invest in good coffee, even if you have to have a Keurig.

This property was ok. Several mistakes made with the reservations, breakfast was not good, was not as clean as other Wyndham properties I've stayed at before. It feels like they are running on a shoe string budget; seems like they are extremely short staffed and it shows in the overall experience.

The staff is really amazing and made sure we had a great experience. The room we originally booked didn't have the pull-out sofa bed that we thought it would have, so they kindly offered to switch us to another room that worked out better. Room was clean and all appliance worked, cooling system worked great and we were very comfortable.

They put me in a room with no hot water and they knew it didn’t have hot water! Didn’t tell me till that morning that the first and second floor had no hot water

It was quite and safe those two things is a major plus with me. But the room didn't have a trash can which was an minus. Overall it was a pleasant stay.

Our room was cold, no instruction how unit worked. No hot water. Hall carpet ripped in 2 locations. Fron desk staff had problems understanding. Offered another room, but was checking out in few. Offered to use another room to take shower. Sermed like hotel was underhoing repairs. Should clise until ready for customers, and staffed with people that understand American culture, "What's expected in "Hospitality " because there appeared NO understanding of hospitality or service. There concelt was respod after no provide service so customer enjoyed the facility upfront. No kleenex or lotions in bath room. Just getting buy with minimal materials Would not come back or recommend anyone.

The property is under construction for renovations. They are in the process of replacing all the hotel room furniture. There is a lot of packing materials in the room and nails in the wall and areas on the wall that needed touch ups. I see that they are trying to make great strides in improvements.

I took my parents to this hotel because it was close to the Hospital where my uncle was having surgery and we noticed when we arrived that they were doing construction. We checked in the room and when we went in I checked mattresses for bed bugs as I always do when staying in any hotel. The mattresses were nasty with pee and blood stains. I never have stayed at any hotel where the mattresses looked like that. There was even blood stained sheets on one of the beds but appeared to have been washed. I am not a complainer and I hardly ever leave a terrible review but come on…. I should have taken pictures.
