A ver beautiful and laid back place, totally worth the walk to the other side of the island. The bungalows are basic, but comfortable.

A fantastic place to visit if you're looking for some peace. The location is excellent, with its own private stretch of beach on the quiet side of the island.

This is an amazing property and a fantastic experience. We booked the last available basic bungalow, which meant a short walk to a shared outdoor toilet/shower hut (*there are bungalows with private toilets and showers available). There is no hot water, but it didn’t take long to figure out that a room temperature shower is available in the mid- to late-afternoon. The food in the onsite restaurant is top notch, and be aware: the portion sizes are huge! If you’re so inclined there is a nice little beach bar near the water with cheap beer and reasonably priced, strong cocktails. Best of all, of course, is the idyllic Sunset Beach location. Great sand, lots of comfy, shaded seating just back from the beach, and clear, warm water for swimming. Be aware that you have to hike into the property from Saracen Bay. The hike takes approximately 25 minutes and there is a short stretch that requires caution (and a reasonable level of fitness), but there are guide ropes on that stretch so it’s safe. Also, the site is pretty much off-the-grid, so there is no data or wifi - which is part of the charm. If you absolutely must connect to the internet you can take a short walk (like 3 minutes short) up the beach to Sunset Adventures. There you can sip one of their outstanding smoothies or fruit juices while you jump onto their wifi for a bit. But hopefully you don’t feel the need to don’t feel the need too often, because being set free from your phone is part of what makes Robinson Bungalows so special. Highly recommended.

Located at sunset beach on Koh Rong Samloem. Gently nestled in the jungle rustic. It boasts a bar on the beach, which is a fantastic location. The spacious restaurant provides a collection of western and Khmer cuisine. Clean and friendly atmosphere with great sunsets.

Went there yesterday for dinner. Asked a waiter for a water bottle refill, which was on the menu. I asked if the water was filtered and the young male waiter said yes yes. 10 seconds later he comes from the kitchen with my full 1,5l bottle with him. I already felt suspicious because refilled water takes longer to fill the bottle. Anyway, I dranked from the bottle and the water tasted very weird. Took a couple of sips before I decided I don't want to drink this anymore. And now, 10 hours later I have horrible diarrhea as the only one from our friend group who drank the water. The refill wasn't even on the bill, so the guy had probably no idea what he was doing. Please inform your staff, that water refill should not be taken from the tab. And thanks for the diarrhea, hope I didn't catch any parasites. Anyway the rest of my trip is ruined. Thank you really.
Response from Property: thats a lie, we have our water filter system, we never serve tap water!!!!

The most incredible Khmer food we have had. A great vibe, gorgeous setting and friendly staff. We stayed further down the beach, so can’t comment on the accomodation. But the restaurant has a great vibe and amazing local dishes. Highly recommend the Loc Lac, the Khmer pancakes and the Amok!

Indeed the descent towards sunset beach is sporty but very well marked by ropes along the path. This little paradise is worth it, it takes time to reach it, to see the turquoise sea between the trees. As soon as we arrive, we feel good, immediately good. This place is enveloping in softness, surrounded by the jungle and directly overlooking a postcard beach, at the end of the world. The bungalows are directly on the beach. Made of wood and bamboo, air circulates there, we breathe, we fall asleep lulled by the waves. The terrace overlooks the beach, we spend hours reading there, looking at the mesmerizing color of the water. The place is very silent, it invites calm, you can hear the birds and the waves crashing on the beach. The bed is huge and comfortable. It doesn't get hot, even during the hot hours of the day. The restaurant serves quality Khmer cuisine, with a wide variety of dishes. Taste the pierrade surrounded by soup, the fish amok, the curries, everything is good, fresh, fragrant, delicate. We hear the cooks laughing, we feel the healthy a**osphere that reigns there. The establishment is very well maintained, not a grain of sand on the restaurant deck. At sunset, the name of the beach takes on its meaning, the beach bar is lit with fairy lights and cocktails color the coffee tables. At daybreak, there is a lovely yoga class held in the shala directly on the beach right next to the property. The wind and the rolling waves in the background. When the sun rises, we put on a mask and snorkel, the best snorkeling spot is right opposite. There are many activities to do, around twenty climbing routes, hiking through the paths in the jungle to the lazy beach, going out in a kayak to see the phosphorescent plankton, getting a massage on the beach, going for a paddle ride... or read on your hammock at the beach, rest from morning to evening, let the hours pass by. It’s a beautiful place, a very beautiful place, one of its secret places, where you recharge your batteries after a long journey, you feel good, disconnected, simply good. A nugget. We realize how lucky we are to stay there and we absolutely don't want to leave.

Not easy to access... this place is worth it, but definitely worth the detour. Even during the rainy season! The wind is blowing. The waves prevent boat access and snorkling... but the place is beautiful, the sunsets are to die for. The bungalows are Spartan, it’s part of the adventure. We eat very well there while listening to Cambodian rock from the 60s.

Sunset Beach is a small, somewhat secluded tropical paradise. Here, Robinson Bungalows offers simple bungalows or tents directly on the beach or close to the beach. The atmosphere is very welcoming, friendly and familiar, the rooms are clean and have mosquito nets. The restaurant offers a good selection of drinks and excellent Khmer cuisine.

For me, 2 nights on Sunset Beach were completely sufficient, there you have the real "jungle feeling", away from parties and chaos. Unfortunately I was unlucky with the weather, there was rain and the wind was strong so there was no sunset and unfortunately snorkeling wasn't possible either. Otherwise the way there is quite difficult, it's best to take as little luggage as possible (you definitely can't drag a suitcase there). Unfortunately there was a construction site next to my bungalow (new bungalows are being built) so there was only noise from 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Unfortunately, I couldn't relax here. The bungalows are basic and have a lot of open spaces, so you can expect a lot of insects in the room. Of all 4 resorts on Sunset Beach, Robinson is already the best. For snorkeling I would rather recommend Lazy Beach, there is coral and colorful fish and the way there is much easier.

Quite a journey, with a 45-minute trek first along the beach then into the jungle, but it’s worth it. A magnificent beach, calm and heavenly. Superb sunsets and the arrival of plankton when night falls. Amazing experience. We took the tent, large enough for our belongings and waterproof for times of rain. Very good hotel restaurant. And good a**osphere. Breakfast quite expensive, because Western
