We went in the height of summer and found the air conditioning to be poor as it was centralised. However the receptionist who waa available on chat was very helpful and brought us a fan to help. The hotel rooms are basic and a little worn but was pretty good value for the location and price."

"I stayed at this hotel last week for work. Hotel outside the city, in a very run-down area. Anonymous rooms, without furniture, without telephone in the room. No terrace just small window. My TV only had 10 channels, 5 of which didn't work and the ones that did work were in Bulgarian. I was addicted to Animal Planet for 5 days (the only channel in English). It's absurd that there are no other channels, I'm not talking about YouTube but about TV. The breakfast was very poor for the quality and price. No sweets, and only a few savory cold cuts, cheeses, tomatoes and cucumbers. Luckily there was Greek yogurt... Prices for dinner as in Italy, are around €30 for a dish and dessert (too much for Bulgarian standards). Very limited menu. The guy who served was prepared but the girls were first-rate. While serving tables, things fell off his plate... Restaurant closed on Sundays... I don't think I'll go back there if I have to return to Sofia."

"Absolutely hated my stay here. I know it’s only a 3 star but that doesn’t mean certain standards shouldn’t be adhered to! I booked a superior room but it was filthy. The mini fridge was gungy and the drain hole clogged with black gunk. The curtains had bugs hiding in them and the wallpaper peeling and dated. The carpet was that bad I wore my shoes to walk round the room and the shower, taps and basin were in dire need of a good bleach and scrub. Soap scum and hairs, no plug, the shower head grimy, There was also a terrible stench if sewage in the room I presumed was coming from a drain in the bathroom. I didn’t use the shower, it was too dirty. The hotel is in dire need of a good clean and update. The pool itself looked nice but the outer areas I was looking forward to enjoying again were dirty with broken furniture . It basically looked like a 1970s hostel. There were silverfish in the room . And other bugs which were horrible ! Windows that didn’t shut or were cracked. Only one lift worked. Pretty bad show. That said, the staff were nice enough. Not their fault the management is so bad. Domestic staff nice enough too but they obviously don’t clean the taps and shower head etc. The area is not great as there is nothing there apart from a Lidl a ten minute walk away. The road is constantly noisy too. If you want to go anywhere you will need a taxi. Shame as if it was given a good overhaul it could be so much better. I have to return in a few weeks but will certainly avoid this place. The photos on the web are obviously from a long time ago."

"I had a wonderful stay at this hotel and would highly recommend it. The location is excellent, making it very convenient for exploring the city and accessing nearby attractions. The hotel is beautifully designed and well maintained, with a pleasant and elegant atmosphere throughout. Cleanliness was also at a very high standard, both in the room and in the common areas. A special highlight was the fine dining restaurant located within the hotel. The food, presentation, service, and overall dining experience were truly excellent and added something very special to our stay. Overall, the hotel offers a great combination of comfort, style, convenience, and quality. I would gladly stay here again."

"Rating: ★★☆☆☆ Does not meet 4-star standards What I liked: The hotel is clean. The room was spacious, and a technical issue with the toilet flush was fixed within the same day. Breakfast was acceptable. What I didn’t like: This hotel does not deserve a 4-star rating. At best, it could be considered a 3-star hotel, and even that with limitations. In my room on the 7th floor there was only one light switch at the entrance; there was no central or bedside switch near the bed. There was also no proper bathe tools storage space in the bathroom. The mattress was extremely hard and the bed very stiff, making it difficult to sleep comfortably. I experienced back pain and did not sleep well on the following nights. Breakfast was okay but nothing special, and it was unpleasant to be forced to listen to loud 1990s music playing constantly from a video. Overall, the hotel is clean but not cozy or comfortable. The staff were correct but not particularly welcoming or engaged with guests."

"I booked a 2-bed room, and they gave me a room with a double bed. I couldn't share the same bed with anyone else. They said the room was full and they couldn't provide the room I booked. Finally, they added a makeshift bed next to it. , it was super uncomfortable to sleep!"
