Based on prior experience and injury, the medical insurance on the lift pass and access to the clinic at the bottom of the lifts well worth it. The Hotel buffet is fantastic, absolutely fantastic. The staff there are incredibly polite and attentive. Whilst there are options in Soldeu, the quality here stand out from a typical hotel buffet. The bar staff are also very useful, I would not do the QR code cubes on the tables, as they don't work well in wood, just walk to the bar. Plus then you can get recommendations and interesting cocktails. Our daughter loves the kids club, she only has one more year at this before she is too old, and at least this year she wasn't teaching poker to the other children. The room are great, adjoining rooms for us and the kids creates some separation, though clarity that these were adjoining would have been useful. The Spa is very good, and well worth a visit. A discount for a single visit would have been a good idea. The ski school in soldeu is a fixture for us, even though some of us can ski. Chris & Bethol were great in the 3/4 classes, with Bethol calmly putting up with my list of injuries, whilst my wife skied with Chris. The teen group is perfect for a 14 Y/O who straight lines everything he can and wants to jump, the kids group also explores a lot of the mountain. I hope more brit travel here to incentivise them continue to expand the facilities on the mountain, lots of easy blues already. Overall if you want to get your kids started skiing, its a perfect starter location. Thanks to Sno, Inghams, Grandvalira Ski School, and the wonderful hotel.

We had an excellent seven-night stay for our engagement-moon, booked through a leading skiing travel agency in the UK, and enjoyed what can only be described as a five-star experience from the moment we entered the hotel. A welcome drink – juice, water, or champagne – was a lovely touch, alongside a cosy lobby area perfect for guests to relax in. The location is excellent, with the convenience of an in-house ski hire shop, Viladomat Signature, though the equipment was slightly more worn and about 10% pricier than nearby alternatives. Nonetheless, the convenience offset any minor shortcomings. The hotel boasts excellent Wi-Fi throughout, including the ski room, and offers a convenient mini-van service to the main Soldeu gondola from 08:30 to 17:00. A big shout-out to the driver with long dark hair and Ray-Ban-looking sunglasses (sorry, we didn't get his name). He was always incredibly helpful, jumping out of the mini-van to run over and assist us with carrying our skis and poles, saving us the effort of walking up the stairs from the Gondola station. The staff across the board, from the front desk to the spa, were friendly and helpful. Our room was immaculate, with a balcony facing the mountains, a Nespresso machine, and L'Occitane toiletries adding to the luxury. The spa was a particular highlight, especially the large jacuzzi, where I found immense relaxation. We also indulged in massages, which were not only reasonably priced but truly enjoyable, enhancing our overall experience at the hotel. We enjoyed the hotel's vibrant atmosphere. However, we have some suggestions for the hotel management: * Consider waiving spa fees for guests staying longer, like us, for seven nights. * While most staff speak basic English, enhancing their proficiency could improve communication with English-speaking guests. * More clear labelling of buffet dishes would be appreciated, especially for dietary requirements such as vegetarian or vegan options. For instance, a pot of roasted vegetables unexpectedly contained ham without indication, and clearer labelling would help guests like me, a pescatarian, in making suitable food selections. * Ensure the plates are thoroughly cleaned. We noticed a few plates near the dessert station had stains on them. Despite these minor suggestions, our stay was delightful, and we're deeply grateful to all the hotel staff for making our visit extraordinarily special. We would definitely consider returning to this hotel for future skiing trips in Soldeu. A heartfelt thank you to everyone at the hotel for a memorable engagement-moon!!

Excellent service throughout our stay from all staff in all departments. The shuttle bus drivers were so helpful in stepping in and out of the vans. Beds turned down with slippers and a mat + pillow choc

Absolutely fabulous hotel, the best ski hotel that we’ve ever stayed in. Excellent service throughout our stay. The mini bus takes you to and from the slopes and the drivers are so courteous. The spa is wonderful and the massages were superb. Amazing food choices at breakfast and dinner, only downside was no free water at dinner yet free water at breakfast, in reception , the spa and in the rooms. The ski hire shop within the hotel is great, staff knowledgeable and no problem if hire items need to be changed during the stay. Would I stay here again, most definitely.

This was a stay of 7 nights so it was an opportunity to see many sides of the hotel. It was all great. Beds were very comfortable. Rooms well appointed and quiet. I was a bit hesitant to eat breakfast & dinner every day at the same place but that was a great experience. The variety and flavor were well above my expectations. The ski shuttle was extremely timely. Never had to wait more than a few minutes. Finally, the staff were friendly and there to help when we needed assistance. I’ll be back!

Dont stay here if you want a full 5 star experience. The spa is only available for children until 6 pm (our teen cant go with us to the spa!) and even though you have paid a lot of money for the room the spa isnt included. 12 euro per child… for maybe 30 min of pool time. This feels so off the service they want people to think is a part of the hotel. The people working in the shuttle service and in housekeeping are great, but unfortunately we wont come back due to the excluded spa and the lack of the full experience you want on this kind of vacation. I would rather say its a 4 star hotel.

We recently returned from a weeks stay at this fabulous hotel. We travelled as a family of 4 (2 adults and 2 children aged 7 and 3). The hotel amenities are just lovely. The food is fantastic with plenty of choice. The deserts especially! We’re disappointed that we could not try the Chinese restaurant as children are not allowed in evening sittings. The normal restaurant didn’t disappoint however. The staff here are super friendly, particularly the bus drivers ( our kids loved Julio), the cleaning team and staff welcoming you to dinner and breakfast. The bus service to the slopes was great. Always a bus waiting and very little queuing for one (save for the end of the day). The on-site ski equipment hire was brilliant. Plenty of decent quality kit available, which we hired for our 7 year old. There is a resident magician in reception and he was great. Our children loved watching his act and he was really friendly. The kids still talk about his amazing tricks at home! The spa facilities are fantastic. We knew you had to pay extra when we booked our stay. However, the family sessions are chaotic and overcrowded. The staff on their reception are far from helpful either. I would say they actually border on rude at times. The kids club on site is fantastic and the staff there couldn’t do enough for you. We stayed with our kids when they were there but when kids were left by their parents the staff were really attentive and were always on hand to help with anything they needed or if someone was struggling with a game or consoles. It was a lovely little facility. Overall, this hotel is a great and relaxing place to be. We would 100% book again and we honestly couldn’t understand why it is not classed as 5*
