Very nice place and great bar with log fire, so great during the winter evenings. The food only average with a small menu. Staff friendly and helpful during stay

Welcoming and friendly staff. Clean and cosy bedroom with lovely toiletries and bathrobe. Thoroughly enjoyed our meal in the evening. Great food and some local gin. Wish we had longer to spend enjoying the surrounding countryside. Will definitely be back. Thanks x

Love this place! Booked it very short notice on Easter Sunday after our original plans fell through and really chuffed we did… cracking service for the Hotel and the Mason Arms pub, loved the vibe, food and drinks excellent, rooms cool and nice peaceful location. Having stayed at the original Artists Residence in Brighton we kind of knew what to expect and it didn’t disappoint.

The linen was of a very high standard; fluffy white towels and good pillows. The breakfast was good ; the starters at dinner were very tasty as was the fish mains but the lamb main was very disappointing. This was removed from our bill without any issue. Our only complaint is that one has to leave an active payment card before seeing the final invoice which we only received 2 days after checking out. We think that the room should be checked and invoice seen before departure.

Super experience from the beginning to the end and loveliness in between 🥰 The staff were warm and welcoming, the food was delicious 😋 and I absolutely loved my Flatwhite espresso Martini! We stayed in The Borrows. Super cute room with absolutely everything in a perfectly small space.

A really gorgeous stay at Artist Residence, we stayed in a Farmers Loft room and the bed was excellent, the bath dreamy, and it had all the little touches you could hope for. We ate in the restaurant on both nights and it was excellent but a little overpriced (or portions a little small for the price, either way!)

Great rooms - really well furnished "super chic farmhouse style" and fun. Excellent food with really good menu and wine list. I had a very good rib eye steak and my darling wife enjoyed a very good lamb dish. Interesting wines and available by the glass so that a couple can enjoy some different choices. Very friendly and helpful service. Very good value and well priced for a stay in the Cotswolds. Really good place and would definitely go again

Absolutely fabulous place, incredible rooms and the food was amazing, coupled with brilliant service, I would definitely recommend, and will return. The only very small negative was (and we are in our 60s) was the music was a bit loud near our table and I would say inappropriate, but as I said very a small thing .

Comfortable clean suite, excellent customer service, friendly, attentive and welcoming staff. Would highly recommend. I had read in the smaller print that because it is an old building there is some noise transference to rooms above the pub - it was minimal, and because it was mentioned, it did not bother me.
