Very good and cosy hotel! Nice and clean room, equipped with everything you could need. Two things that could be improved: please, change the pillows, they are terrible; and also don't charge for the coffee in the room - it is indeed bad practice. Everything else ir perfect and I would recommend this hotel for everyone, who does not need to stay in the center of Dresden.

There were no terrible issues, but some details not expected in a 5-Star hotel: 1) We requested for a COT (baby bed), we had to ask for it 3 times. 2) 1st night, baby wet the sheets, we put them together with some towels for change. Cleaning team put new towels but REUSED the wet cot sheet. 3) Many hairs on the floor of the bathroom when we entered the room and spider web in the balcony. 4) The water in the bad in the garden has big living worms, we realized after our baby put his toes in the water. 5) Coffee machine in the room would be a great asset Breakfast is amazing, people is super kind, facilities are awesome, thanks! *** German translated ** Es gab keine schlimmen Probleme, aber einige Details, die man in einem 5-Sterne-Hotel nicht erwartet: 1) Wir baten um ein COT (Babybett), wir mussten dreimal danach fragen. 2) 1. Excellent stay from start to finish. Very helpful staff at reception and concierge desk. Ample breakfast (though crowded during a holiday weekend). Large room with work space, TV, a sofa and armchair. Our room faced the street, and there was some noise, but it ended before we turned in. Location could not be better: easy walking distance to all of the Old Town attractions.

We booked ”only” night as our son studied in DD and we met with him for food and breakfast. Equipment for our cleanness was completely i.O.

Location is good. Facilities are a bit too old to be rightfully at the Hilton brand standard, but acceptable and understandable at this price level. On the services, there is substantial room for improvement. Staff are responsive but badly need to be trained with better protocols and practices.

We stayed in this hotel twice during the last month. The first time we had a little suite on the top floor of the Bastei. This was fine, if a little bare. Checkin and breakfast were fine. The second time we found ourselves in the annex, the Konigstein. Check in at the Bastei was poor with 20 minute queue. The annex had a fast food stall across the front and entry is by room card. The lift was dirty when we arrived and smelled of vaping and did not work properly. The impression is of an unmanned operation. The room was on the 6th floor and was noisy during the evening, from the very busy street below. At breakfast we were instructed to sit at a table already occupied by another guest and the staff member was aggressive with us saying the nicer tables were all for groups. No sign of these by the time we left of course. Also over-zealous table clearing, go to the buffet for more and your cutlery and coffee are gone. So better check in, maybe safes in the better rooms, and some serious staff training about customer service, rather than bullying.

We were in town for the Christmas markets which is one of Germany's best. Well, we couldn't have picked a better place to stay than here. The hotel opens directly upon the central square which is where one of the markets is located. The other major market is just a few steps further across the street. Unfortunately, we weren't given a view room and our room really didn't have a view, but it was comfortable with all the amenities you might expect. We were traveling by car so a big plus was the underground public garage with direct elevator access to the hotel.

We had searched for a cafe for a sad coffee in the surroundings of the cemetery and found a location for about 30 people in the old tolkewitz courtyard. Order and settlement went uncomplicated; the service was aware and friendly, the coffee was nicely handed down, extra requests were implemented quickly. On the website there are three variants for one cover; we have chosen the average: day soup + 1 half-coated bread + 1 piece of cake per person. That seemed little to us, but the bread was huge and well-pleasant and delicious, and the piece of cookie was large enough, so that everyone became well-saturated. Only the soup (Soljanka) was loud and rather delicate from the taste, we are better used to it. But it did not break the overall impression: we were satisfied - according to the occasion.

Very nice atmosphere, very nice people at the reception. There is a lot of space in the rooms as well as in the corridors. Everything seemed to me clean and in a good condition. I really recommend this hostel - also as it is very nicely situated in the most interesting and vibrant part of Dresden. The online check-in option seemed to me a little bit buggy still but anyway it finally worked and might have saved some time at the reception. Be aware that if you pay at the reception you might need to pay in cash...
