We called here in order to charge our ID3 ev. During the charge we had a lovely lunch in the restaurant. Welcoming, friendly efficient staff. Lovely, well presented, tasty food..... and the chargers work. Highly recommend and very convenient for our journey.

Bad value for money ordered a cheeseboard which was so small it was ridiculous we were charged £15 horrendously bad. asked to speak to the manager he was so rude that his own staff made an effort to apologise to us all. The generals bar staff were all very good shame it’s just poorly managed

We held my father's surprise 80th birthday party in the Charles Suite last month. Ivana and her team were brilliant every step of the way - from the planning to the execution. The room looked stunning, the food and wine delicious and the staff incredibly attentive. Thank you!

So last night Friday 3rd of May after a busy week hubby and I decided to have a meal at Barton Hall Hotel...the food was superb and we were looked after amazingly nothing was too much trouble the staff were attentive without being intrusive..we would highly recommend this venue and shall be returning. The only blot on the evening..which was something totally out of the restaurants control...sitting at the table next to us was a lady holding a business conference call on loud speaker so that everyone in the restaurant was forced to listen in this was 7.30pm on a Friday evening .Other diners were tutting and clearly uncomfortable and like us had come out for an enjoyable evening away from the office..the lady in question totally ignored her fellow diners and continued...by this time my husband had had enough and quietly asked to take her call elsewhere in the building..well what happened next was unbelievable a more rude or clearly bad mannered person I haven't come across in a long time...she was abusive and rude to us making a point of stopping at our table on her exit to tell us "No one asked you to sit here" !! Once she had left the other diners applauded my husband. She continued her tirade abusively towards the staff....Well done to Barton Hall staff for managing the situation in a calm and professional way .

The restaurant has the rudest staff I have ever encountered! The food was no better! Over priced and underrated! The staff constantly hassle you to purchase and start pushing sales before you get a chance to sit down! Thereafter its hassles for the rest of your stay! The staff experience was horrendous! I encountered a rude waiter and even ruder manager who was savage, unkind, unwelcoming and nasty! I would never recommend this establishment for any type of occasion. Its hard to believe that a hospitality company could treat their customers so rudely! I will never recommend and will cancel my forthcoming booking! TOTALLY NASTY and The RUDEST HOTEL I have ever encountered! 10/10 for unbelievably BAD SERVICE!!!!

Had such a lovely Time at the Garden Spa here. The pool is lovely and warm, the ice bucket was lovely after the sauna and steam room. It felt clean and fresh and really different to have a spa outside. Service was friendly and welcoming. Can’t wait to return!

An excellent place to stay the night. Superhelpful and professional, friendly staff. Smart and comfortable room. Good food. Nice big but cosy bar and a very convenient location. Elegant building and grounds. We were particularly impressed by the fact that they were able to arrange an early check in for us and our relations attending a wedding nearby.

We chose this hotel to celebrate my wife's birthday celebration. Hotel was set in very lovely grounds and a very lovely location near Kettering. The 2 days we stayed were very relaxing. The room was very spacious and comfortable, especially for my wife who has a mobility disorder. The restaurant staff were very friendly and the food was amazing. The only 'fly in the oin**ent' throughout our stay was that the electronic room key mechanism did not function, so we had to always be let into our room by member of the reception staff. The room key malfunction was well known prior to our arrival but despite that they still went ahead and allocated the room to us. I asked for my wife and I to be transferred to a new room but was told no other rooms were available during our stay! I understand that during the week the hotel is mainly occupied by corporate clients and they want to maintain their business but priority and consideration should have been given to my booking, considering it was made many months ago. This was very disappointing for us and it did place a negative view on our visit. No compensation was offered either.

The parking was close to the hotel. Check in was efficient. The room (4) was very nice. Clean and recently decorated including the bathroom which was spotless. Nice walk-in shower. There were two glass bottles of water and good quality biscuits in the tea tray. Lots of quality detail. I had dinner in the restaurant which was busy for a Wednesday, and I can see why. My meal was excellent; well cooked scallops, perfect lamb. Caitlyn in the restaurant is lovely, her friendliness added to the experience. This is a hotel that I will go back to.
