The location is a bit remote, not in the city center, but it is quiet. Away from the light and the city, the air is super good, and the stars are full at night. There is also a jacuzzi in the room, breakfast is room service , get physical and mental relaxation 😌

The hotel is in a great location, right on Banff Avenue. The bus to the Banff Gondola and Lake Louise is near the hotel, and the transportation is convenient. However, the hotel's sound insulation is average, the air conditioner is very loud, slippers are not provided, and the facilities are not complete.

Hotel location is very good, driving to the town supermarket is very close. The facilities are great, very warm, just like the feeling of home, the service staff is usually not at the front desk, will not bother the guests, but on call, I like this feeling! The breakfast at the hotel is also great, exquisite, with fresh orange juice and a blend of healthy fruits and vegetables. Recommended to stay!

The room is small but very comfortable. Although it is a public toilet, shower, kitchen, everyone is very clean and tidy. The guests staying in the store are also very quiet. The Hostel is halfway up the mountain and the scenery is particularly beautiful, which is very suitable for self-driving tours. It is a 5-minute drive from Canmore Town. It is20-30 minutes from Banff.

The view from the room and hallway was spectacular. The staff was friendly, polite, and accommodating. He answered all our questions with big smiles and helped us with all our needs. The room is big. A fireplace too inside the room The whirlpool outside was a bonus and felt relaxed while enjoying the fresh, cool air after a long day of driving and walking. Bed was very comfortable with lots of pillows and had a very good night sleep. Won't hesitate to book here again.

The hotel has underground and ground parking. The fly in the ointment is that when you check out, you have already prepaid the room rate, and you have swiped the room rate from the credit card. This translated to: The Pool Area: Practically unusable for other guests; it was packed to capacity with kids from morning until night. Common Areas: Hallways and the lobby were very loud and, at times, felt uncontrollable. Lack of Supervision: There was a noticeable lack of adult/parental supervision in the public spaces, leading to a chaotic atmosphere that isn't ideal if you're looking for a relaxing mountain getaway. Staff and Noise Management To the hotel’s credit, the noise did mostly settle down by 10:30 PM. I spoke with the front desk, and they mentioned we could issue formal noise complaints if needed. However, it felt like a losing battle given the sheer volume of groups. The staff are clearly used to this, as these local tournaments bring in consistent bookings for the hotel. While the team was polite, they seemed stretched thin by the high occupancy and the energy of the young athletes. The Room and Amenities Pros: The location is excellent—close to downtown and Highway 1. The rooms are generally spacious, and the mountain views from the upper floors are a highlight. Cons: The property is showing its age. Some fixtures felt dated, and the cleanliness in the high-traffic common areas suffered due to the heavy foot traffic during the tournament. Final Verdict The simpler solution here is a matter of timing. If you aren't in town to participate in or spectate a tournament, check the local sports calendar before booking. If a U11/U13 tournament is on, I would recommend staying elsewhere. If you are here for the hockey, this is clearly the ”hub,” but for the average traveler, the lack of peace and quiet makes it hard to justify the price point during these peak weekends.
