"The hotel overall isn’t bad; it’s located right in front of the metro exit and is a 15-minute walk from the city center. However, considering what I paid, I expected more.
The room was old, with no shutters and curtains that barely blocked the blue LED lights that stay on all night on the balcony to illuminate the hotel’s façade.
The bathroom flooded with every shower because the drain was clogged, and water would come out of a second drain outside the shower box.
Breakfast was fairly good.
The rooftop pool is very nice, with a beautiful view of the Acropolis."

The Amalia Hotel Athens is in an excellent location—right in the center, with easy access to major sightseeing spots and many great food options. It is definitely the best choice in Athens, offering comfort at a very reasonable price.
What made our stay truly memorable was the outstanding staff:
Mrs. Kalliopi (Front Desk Receptionist) – She warmly upgraded our room, recommended some of the best dining experiences in Athens, and even made reservations for us. Her professionalism, attentiveness, and genuine care made us feel so welcome.
Ms. Irini Pasalidou (Housekeeping) – She kept our room spotless, replaced towels and toiletries promptly, and greeted us every morning with a smile. Her dedication, efficiency, and kindness made us feel right at home.
Breakfast Team: Stavros & Marilena – Their smiles and attentive service brightened each morning. Stavros always served fresh orange juice as soon as we sat down, while Marilena ensured the buffet was well stocked and the tables were clean. Their dedication and hard work made breakfast a delightful experience.
Because of these wonderful team members, our visit to Athens was exceptionally enjoyable and comfortable. We will gladly recommend Amalia Hotel Athens to our friends and look forward to returning soon.

"My room was on the first floor and the button lock on the window was broken, so I was a little worried and scared to stay there alone as a woman.
The bathtub was great.
It was great for warming up my tired body after the flight and getting my blood flowing.
Although it was far from the market, it was very convenient for getting to the main attractions of Zeus, Athena, and the museums by train."

"The Candia hotel was a very short and easy walk with a lot of luggage from the train station. I was able to check in an hour earlier than they state in the information and the receptionists were very helpful. The hotel is a short walk to the underground station in Thessaloniki from there it was a short train ride ( very exciting if you get a front seat) to all the museums and centre. The room at Candia was very large with a big bathroom and was very comfy, clean and relaxing. There are shutters in the windows that was good for the mornings. Nd the sun did not wake me up! Breakfast was amazing with a wide variety of hot and cold food. I especially liked the fruit and yoghurts with an array of extra bits for healthy toppings. The swimming pool was lively and I had fun in the sun. There were plenty of staff to help there and make my stay fabulous. The views from the top of the hotel were great and I wished I’d taken some images! Thessaloniki has a lot to offer travellers who enjoy culture, which is why I chose to stay there."

"The hotel is located in an alley at the corner of the Acropolis, a 5-minute walk from the Acropolis and the Acropolis Museum. It is small and newly renovated. The rooms are spacious, clean and hygienic. There are railings around the windows. I don't know if it is an ancient site. The downside is that the washbasin is very narrow and inconvenient to use. The staff is friendly and enthusiastic. It is a small hotel with good value for money."

"The room is not big, but it is quite comfortable for three people for a European hotel. It has a great location and is a few minutes' walk from Constitution Square. "The hotel looks very beautiful in the pictures, but I was quite disappointed after checking in:
First, the hotel faces the street, and the room I was given was a low-rise room facing the street. Later, the manager kindly moved me to a high-rise room facing the street, but it was still very noisy and I had to wear earplugs to sleep. The experience was very bad. This hotel was recommended as a design hotel, but this experience made people feel like a fast hotel;
At the same time, the bathroom was also very small, and the quality of the toilet facilities was very average;
There was no toilet paper in the room;
The room was very small;
The price I booked for this hotel was 1,500 per night. I stayed at the Grand Hyatt next door for only 2,000 per night, and the room area of this hotel was only half of the Grand Hyatt; the accommodation experience and breakfast experience of the Grand Hyatt were really much better. One night here really lowered the experience of the entire trip to Greece.
Ctrip should do more research and be more fair when ranking hotels."

"At first, we hated it because we were told that the check-in was at 11 but we ended up checking in around three and the area surrounding it didn’t look so nice but Plaka is only a 20 minute walk but if you’re going to swim and go to beaches it’s around a 40 minute drive so unless you have the money to book Ubers every day, I wouldn’t recommend staying here because we ended up spending over 200 on Ubers to go to the beach. The room was clean and we loved it. I would definitely recommend this if you wanna do sightseeing and walk a lot. "

"Excellent location and nice room. I stayed at the hotel for two nights. It’s very close to the Syntagna Square so basically one can walk to the main tourist sites easily. The room is well designed, bright , spacious and very clean and is equipped with everything one needs plus hot water came immediately. In addition, what I loved was that the window can be open a bit to let the fresh air come in —- nice circulation. Cleaning lady was friendly and diligent. And the staff at night shift was helpful that he showed me the way to the airport bus when I checked out in early morning."

GGuest UserMiraMe has the BEST shower we have ever experienced. THE BEST SHOWER! It comes with four different ' heads ' and the water pressure is extremely powerful so taking a shower after a hot day in Athens was an absolute joy. Usually the rainshower found in most hotels is weak, but MiraMe's jets are very forceful and steady water temperature. The other three ' heads ' are one for the chest, one for the butt and one for the legs. Then there is also one separate hand held shower head on the side. The shower room is spacious and drainage is smooth, and the door seals perfect so there is no worry of a leak. We cannot claim to be hotel experts but for the 30+ odd years of travelling and having stayed in over 60 hotels in many cities, we can vow loud and clear that MiraMe has really sourced the BEST shower model, and other hotels, even other leading hotels in the world should dump theirs and change them into MiraMe's.
Locationwise, MiraMe also is very good. The main shopping districts are just 10 mins walk away where you can find famous brands as well as plenty of shoe shops. In the area are major bus stops , great variety of restaurants, cafes, ice cream parlours, pharmacies and other nice hotels.
The room we had booked is ' deluxe family room with balcony ' that has a short flight of stairs leading to an attic for the 3rd person. It is a nice nook up there for some privacy with a bed and a sofa and an individual air con that provides a comfy temp. The balcony is small and not much view so we hardly used it. Breakfast is provided up on the rooftop bar cum lounge, where a young staff manned the place and served freshly made breakfast cooked to each guest's order every morning. The rooftop has a nice open view of the Acropolis and has very nice updated music that is cool but not too loud and wild.
They also have a bar on the G/F serving drinks. The staff are all young and pleasant, polite and helpful and they try their best to help with restaurant bookings and recommendations etc.
MiraMe is a clean and modern boutique hotel that provides sufficient toiletries to make the stay comfy and carefree. Housekeeping is discreet and the bedding is all clean and white, bath and hand towels and floors and things we touch are basically clean. Again, we cannot praise enough their wonderful shower that has to be the BEST in the whole world.
The hotel is in a quiet street but in a very safe neighbourhood, so even if you return late everyone feels very secure and safe.

GGuest UserLocation, location, location! Athena Color Cube apartments are located on the 4th floor and the building is only within a 5-min walk to Monastiraski metro station which has direct service to the airport. There are numerous restaurants nearby and the vicinity is vibrant all the times. There is no receptionist and all communication is done via the chat window. The operator is always prompt to reply to our questions and is very friendly. As to the Climate Resilience Tax which is €8 per night, we ended up handing to the room cleaning lady up on our check-out.
The apartment we stayed (Aqua) is very spacious with a mini kitchen. And most importantly, it's spotlessly clean! I walked with bare feet and didn't feel any dust at all.
Having the convience of a luggage storage room on the same floor, it is definitely an extra perk.
Nevertheless, there are some draw backs:
(1) There isn't any shower cubical door in the toilet so after shower, the floor will be all wet and slippery. We have to wipe it dry after use.
(2) It takes at least 20 mins to heat up the ”water boiler”, and is only good for one person (one 15-20min shower). On the first night, we didn't know we have to press it on again for reheating after the first person has finished using, so the water was very cold when it comes to the second person's turn. On the second night, we knew the trick already and were all good to enjoy hot water throughout.
(3) There are steps from the sofa area to the bed and to the kitchen/toilet. One has to be extra cautious particularly if going to the toilet in the middle of the night is needed.
Overall, we recommend this lovely apartment.

朱朱This hotel is really good, not rare in Europe! The hotel is located at the end of the Zeus Temple, at the end of the food street. Walking to the Acropolis and Syntagma Square are 1 km away. The way to the Acropolis is full of restaurants and shops, very convenient. The hotel's facilities are complete with slippers, shampoo, conditioner, soap, shaving foam and lotion. Just bring your own toothbrush and toothpaste. A kettle and tea bags are provided, and a small fridge can store the food you buy. The decoration of the hotel is also very delicate and clean, and the service is very good. The overall feeling is that there are four-star standards in China. It is really rare in Europe! It’s hoping to write a lot of useful information for my friends, because I also like the travellers who leave detailed and true comments.

XXinshoumoyuThe room was incredibly spacious, which we were absolutely thrilled with. It was also spotlessly clean, truly living up to four-star hotel standards. The transport links were quite good; it's only about a 7-minute walk to the subway station entrance. With the subway so accessible, being a little further from the main attractions wasn't an issue at all. I've included a photo of the street below. The neighborhood felt like a typical local residential area.

GGuest UserWe booked our stay at Emporikon for just one night in Athens and we were disappointed to find that where we were staying was not the hotel we booked. We arrived at the address for Emporikon (the one pictured on the website where we booked) and they told us that they did not have a reservation for us and we were probably in the other building. The woman walked us over to the other building a block away (on a somewhat deserted alley rather than the bustling street of the actual hotel we booked). They did have our room there but we had booked a “triple room with a view” and what we received was a room with one bed (a full I think) and absolutely no view. The room was very small, overlooked a bar that was extremely loud until 2am. The toilet also did not flush—we had to essentially take it apart and flush four different ways to make it work. There was a smart TV, but it had no access to any Chanels and would not accept any of our U.S. streaming app accounts. The hotel we booked was a beautiful historic building and that was just not what this new building was. The location on the map and the wifi name were a different hotel “Anasa.” There was a sign outside that said “new Emporikon building” which did make us feel that at least we were not being kidnapped, but it is very concerning that we booked one thing and received something entirely different. That is just not how a contract works. We should have at least been told it would be a different room than we paid for.

AAnonymous UserThe family room is average, the window is an interior view, looking out to an atrium. There is no sun, and the sofa bed is average in texture. The bottled water in the refrigerator seems to be charged, but I didn't drink it anyway. The advantage is that the breakfast is very rich. One meal is enough for half a day.

GGuest UserStunning hotel in a great location, close to hop on hop off bus stops and other attractions. Roof top is fabulous, great views and comfortable. Breakfast really varied and delicious. Welcome champagne on arrival was a really welcoming touch. I was able to check in early and out late which I really appreciated. Would 100% book this for my next stay in Athens

CCarrie-AnneQuaint little space, to sleep and prepare for a day of site seeing and experiencing the natural beauty of Attica! The hotel was easy enough to find and I walk from the Temple of Zeus to study the location, check out the tourist attractions and lovely streets filled with shops, art and food. This hotel is a great location, easy access to the Hop on Hop off bus (well worth the price for me) easy to use to get to the ancient ruins, museum and street art performances! The hotel has great breakfast Buffett and wonderful room service! The room was clean and for me had a great Birds Eye view of the neighborhood streets. The staff was helpful and friendly! AAlexandraI traveled to Athens for a business reason. The room was in the center, spacious near shops for coffee and food. It provides paid parking right next to it, so you don't have to look for a place. The service is amazing and the staff is very kind!! I would definitely choose it again!!!
