Driving towards the lighthouse and hotel takes your breath away. The scenery is absolutely amazing. We had a magical three nights there. We stayed in Stephenson I and from the lounge we had stunning views. The food was outstanding. Richard is an excellent chef. My dairy intolerance was well catered for. The staff attentive. We loved it and we shall return. Evenings quite magical when the lighthouse beam comes on. When there’s no cloud it’s a joy to see all the stars. Added bonus John part owner is a professional photographer so we were able to bring a print and cards back to remind us of a wonderful stay. Thank you.

The owners John and Helen basically made me feel at home. Richard, the chef - well, i have not had a better Calamari plus nothing was too difficult My room was perfect with a sea view. On certain days you can see sea otters, dolphins Fantastic and unique setting

Visited for an evening meal , very quiet as only one other couple dining . The owners were very attentive and the chef came out to discuss the dishes he had prepared .Its a 5 course meal ( well 6 in our case as the chef also sent out some deep fried white bate ) every course was delicious my husband said the venison was the best he had ever been served, another plus is the alcohol is very reasonably priced . The lighthouse has seen better days and other coments mention the road but i dont know what people expect it was built in 1816 !

Came here after watching a review on youtube. Stayed for one night. Yes, the building is not perfect in terms of decor, on the outside fo the building, but that adds to the authenticity, and its very well decorated and maintained internally. Serene and peaceful location with stunning views, not withstanding the lighthouse itself when it is lit in the evening. The owners are very friendly. Also had a wonderful evening meal. Would definitely recommend staying here and also having dinner.

A great place for a get away. Clean, comfortable and friendly. The bed was extremely comfortable. The chef was made himself known to us, asked if we had any allergies and the food was delicious. We went on to the balcony on a clear, starry night and watched the beams from the lighthouse rotate. There is no light pollution and we could see constellations, and also other lighthouses on Ailsa Craig and Mull of Kintyre. Would highly recommend and would love to return.

Popped in to the Corsewall hotel for a coffee & cream scones. Its in a lighthouse, need I say more! But I will. Amazing a**osphere, staff & location. We even had a viewing of the rooms, which we will be booking sometime soon. A must see place if you are anywhere near.

Dad and 12 year old lad. Fantastic location, exactly what you’d expect from Scotland. Throw in a lighthouse, add some amazing food, a quality place to relax and chill out, and it’s just wonderful. Sure that anyone could find things to moan about.., the road gets wet, it rained, the derelict outbuildings needs some paint, but you know what, their reviews are garbage. This place is wonderful with amazing staff and food, and their hospitality towards having a 12 year old at what many might say is a friendly up place to stay was absolutely above and beyond fantastic!

Another opportunity to return to Corsewall and a well deserved relaxing break staying at the Lighthouse suite. The place, the views and the people will always keep you coming back here. Time staying here simply allows you to kick off your shoes, sit back and lose yourself in the surroundings. The Lighthouse suite has such amazing panoramic views of the Irish Sea, the coast of Ireland, the southern tip of Mull of Kintyre and Ailsa Craig. And with a steady wind, you just drift away for hours. We were treated to an outstanding standard of cuisine. The hotel has engaged a new chef, and while the evening meals previously were packed full of flavour, this time round, we were amazed at how much the bar had been raised. The variety, quality and flavours were simply outstanding. This made decisions each night so difficult…what would we be missing out on, by choosing one thing…haha. I cannot recommend a stay at the Lighthouse enough. With such an old and rigid building there are small compensations, but these are quickly overlooked and accepted. A stay here has to be to get away from the daily toils and give yourself the space and time to just chill out. Enjoy.

Arrived at the lighthouse on a very stormy afternoon. Enjoyed a lovely coffee and warm scone in the lobby. Evening meal was delicious and there was a wide range of reasonably priced drinks. The downside is very much the bedroom/overnight experience. Our room was small and in desperate need of upgrading and repair. Whilst we were not looking for modern living (in keeping with the location) what you do expect is a high standard of cleanliness. The shower was mouldy and cracked, extractor fans etc thick with dust, and we even found a number of items including vape liquid beside the bed which did not belong to us. For the cost of the overnight stays, you would definitely expect a much higher standard.
