Sanuki Onsen
4.1/53 Reviews
Sanuki Onsen is a hotel located in Yasuhara Kamihigashi, Shionoe-cho, Takamatsu City, Kagawa Prefecture. This time, the grandmother made full use of various discounts, and the two-person suite room with two meals dinner was 9,900 yen in the room! I stayed at a bargain price. On August 5th, 2022, I walked through Sanuki Kodomo no Kuni. From there, we drove to Sanuki Onsen. About 30 cars can be parked under the building and on the ground. The catchphrase is “Takamatsu no Okuzashiki”. The lobby looks like this. The large public bath is accessed from the first floor by a connecting passageway. You can take a bath until 10:30 at night and from 6:00 in the morning. Bring towels from your room. Since this day is a room on the 4th floor, I will move by elevator. When you enter the entrance, you will find yourself in a Japanese-style room. The scenery from the window is like this. The Kabagawa Dam rises in front of you. The bedroom is next door. A table is set in the next room. refrigerator. The toilet has a warm water seat. closet. Wash basin. I'm going to the public bath, so I probably won't use it, but there's a bathtub, and it seems that hot springs will come out. It's a former condominium converted into a three-room suite. Even before coming here, I saw several such resort apartments. Wi-Fi is about 10 Mbps, so it's enough. There was no slowdown during peak hours. The hot spring here is Toro Toro, it was my favorite hot spring in Shikoku. However, it is far to move about 30 meters from the main building to the hot spring building. From there, you have to go down the stairs to get to the public bath. The first open-air bath is nearby. However, to get to the second open-air bath, you have to walk another 50 meters along the connecting corridor. However, the second open-air bath was right next to the river and was very nice. It was inconvenient that there was no outlet near the bed. Dinner is served in the room. Sashimi and dessert. The main dish is tempura. Then came the duck pot. First of all, toast with draft beer and lemon chuhai. This time the meal was the cheapest course, but this is enough for my grandfather and grandmother. The next morning, I took a walk to Kabagawa Dam. After returning from a walk and sweating in the hot springs, it's time for breakfast. The breakfast venue is the restaurant on the first floor. It's a standard menu of Japanese food, mainly grilled fish that went too far (sweat;). After eating, we drove on. Guest House Wakabaya

Absolutely go ahead and BOOK this gem in Takamatsu as it’s an enormous blessing to find!! Minutes on foot from a train station (Hanazono, which accepts SuiCA FYI) and many great eats, and not only is the WakabaYa website (read it!!) an excellent resource for the different things to do/eat in Takamatsu/Shikoku, but as an extremely experienced traveller the proprietor of WakabaYa, Takeshi-san, has designed the perfect guest house. The house is perfectly clean, the rooms are sunny and delightful, the futons extremely comfortable, the kitchen well-furnished and the washing machine a life saver (and there are clotheslines in the room themselves), and any concerns you may have about a shared bathroom (I know I did due to bad memories from university) should immediately be banished - Takeshi-san offers a free flow of freshly-laundered towels and takes great care that the shower, baths and toilets were pristine (and as a guest I made sure to leave everything in the same way). And a final shout out to Takeshi-san and his beautiful family, who was always ready on hand to respond to any worries, queries and questions I may have. I can happily say that I had a wonderful healing time in Takeshi-san’s lovely guest house and I’m already planning when to return to my new home in Takamatsu :)
Takamatsu Kokusai Hotel

Hotel room was great for what I needed, solo traveller wanting something small with a hot bath. Room had 2 single beds and everything you need within the room. The staff member on the front desk spoke brilliant English even though I was prepared to check-in in Japanese. Only downside is the location as a tourist (30 minute walk from town centre). With the art festival happening, most hotels in town were booked out or extremely expensive, so I chose this one. Made things a bit tough to get around but I was happy to use local buses or walk into town.
Shin Kabakawa Kanko Hotel

I used it for a day trip bath. It seems that 3/11 was closed, but I heard that it has resumed business. Bath towels are charged, but small towels are free. The shoe box at the entrance of the dressing room is small, so large shoes may have trouble storing. There is a free coin locker with a key in the dressing room, so you can rest assured that you can take a day trip bath. There are indoor baths and open-air baths. I have the impression that the open-air bath had a strong chlorine odor. The indoor bath did not smell so much chlorine. There is also a free hair dryer. It is also close to Takamatsu Airport, so it is recommended to use it before flight. Parking is also free.
Hyper Resort Villa Shionoe

This is a fairly large hotel in Shionoe Onsen. Stayed in the pet room on the first floor. Dogs are not allowed to walk outside the room, but there are plenty of pet supplies in the room. The guest room is a Japanese-Western style room with about 6 tatami mats and 2 beds. It was spacious enough. The food was pretty good for the price. It looked beautiful and I was satisfied with the quality. Soft drinks were free and paper cups were placed for takeout to the guest room. Above all, the staff was kind and fun, and I had a fun meal. Breakfast is buffet style. The number of items is also abundant. I had a great time at the inn in the mountains.
Business Hotel Park Side Takamatsu
3.3/54 Reviews
Takamatsu Station used to take the bus for about 15 minutes, Lilin Park Station, and got off at the hotel. The view of the park can be seen in the hotel. The hotel is an old-fashioned Japanese hotel. The size is relatively large in Japan. Of course, it is not comparable to the domestic one. Of course, the facilities are old. Considering the price, it is still acceptable. There are fewer places to eat nearby.
