This was our first visit to Grenada & I'm so pleased we chose Spice Island Resort. From the moment we arrived to the sad day we left, everything was top class. The outstanding staff made our stay very special. Shout out to Fabian for arranging top quality deep fishing & island trips for us & Lindora for keeping our glasses refilled! We loved the boutique hotel feel with many quiet areas to relax. Not forgetting the tranquility of the spa where I had one of the best back massages ever! Thanks Spice Island Resort, I hope we return one day soon. 🙂

In our 53 years of marriage, we have stayed in many truly beautiful places all over the world. The spice Island resort has to be in the top five everything was perfect from the location, the staff, the property to our accommodation — filled with high end luxury touches. Of the service it can be said this is one of those places where the staff doesn’t have to work here; they want to work here truly not one negative thing to say after a week’s stay, only that we were very sad to leave and are already planning our return Make a reservation here, you will love it. Book a sea grape accommodation, it was perfect Trust me — I have never lied to you before.

A very friendly hotel in exceelent condition. The real strength is the various "beach suite" rooms which open directly onto the lovely soft sandy beach dotted with trees giving shade - view from these rooms is exactly as in the photos on the website. Lovely beach to swim from and plenty of natural shade for the sun loungers on the beach. Decent restaurant and bar. We had a sea grape suite which was roomy and well furnished. I would be cautious about the various "pool suite" rooms - it looks to me as if they have no view at all and are behind individual high walls.

My wife and I decided to go to Grenada after very little research. We didn't know anyone and after seeing a lot of other islands, we wanted to try something new. Overall, this hotel exceeded all of our expectations and deserves a high rating. While there were some minor problems with our room key, they were always willing to assist and gave us a bottle of champagne complimentary due to the issue (as it happened more than once). The true highlight of this hotel is its customer service/workers. My special shout outs would go to Rene, Davidson (I apologize if this is not the correct spelling of his name!), and Katrina. As well, the front desk crew (I don't have specific names) also were excellent. To say that they're some of the best workers we have experienced in our travels would truly be an understatement. If there was any con in this trip it would be the menu for the restaurant. While we were always able to find a food option for dinner, it was still limited. When I spend as much as I did to come to this resort, I simply wish there was more options or another restaurant that had a different menu. Overall, I would recommend this resort if you're coming to this island. It truly deserves the 5 stars that it is rated and continues to get through ratings.

Lovely to be back at SIBR after 10 years. Many of the staff are still there and just as friendly towards their guests which is testament to the culture of the resort. Wonderful food and drinks too. The hotel is very well maintained with ample staff including a team of friendly gardeners who manicure the resort every day. Top quality equipment at the hotel. The beach is immediately accessible with great swimming and a walk along the length of Grand Anse to work off those inevitable calories! Best place to stay on Grand Anse.

The resort and its fabulous location along the Grand Anse beach in Grenada warrant the resorts 5-star rating. However, there are aspects warranting consideration that prevent me giving a full blown 5-star review. Firstly, to the positives: The resort has seen extensive renovation. The majority of room/suites open up directly onto the beautiful white sands of the Grand Anse beach and the pristine waters of the Caribbean. We were booked into one of the Ocean front Seagrape Suites. These are generously sized with a terrasse equipped with sun loungers and a hammock (for those of you brave enough to try it out). A nice and helpful accessory was the outside flexible shower to was off any sand before re-entering your room from the beach. The beach itself, though open to the public, is spotlessly clean. There are additional sunbeds provided. Fresh beach towels are delivered to your rooms daily with additional towels available from the pool area - should these be needed. The staff are indeed a credit to the resort, and this aspect warrants recognition. We were always greeted by name (I only wish that my memory was that good). The resort has two restaurants - though only one is functional during the day. The Oliver for breakfast and evening a la carte dining, and the Sea & Surf Terrace for lunch time meals. Both prove an extensive menu choice to suite most tastes. Good quality house wine is available with meals and the bar has cold beer on tap. The grounds are immaculately maintained by the groundsmen and gardeners. We had several questions regarding various plants and the gardeners were more than happy to indulge our questions. The cleanliness of the rooms is first rate with bathroom towels changed daily (if not twice daily if used by turn down time). The quality of entertainment was very good and a great reflection of the Caribbean vibe. Some members of staff warrant our recognition and thanks for making our stay that extra special. We were always welcomed with a smile and occasional light banter and laughter by Katrina and Mikel at the restaurants. The menus were explained together with any specials of the day. Lyndonna ensured that our drinks were regularly refreshed and quickly compensated for any excessive "evaporation". On the beach Jamal kept us (and others) constantly supplied with cold towels and drinks. He must cover a good several miles a day - no joke in high heat. Thank you to you all for making our stay that extra bit special. You are remembered fondly. The front desk staff were also first rate (sorry for not remembering your names. We were always greeted by name and great help provided regarding access to St George and other local attractions. Our thanks also for accommodating our late check-out request. Now turning to some aspects that warrant consideration and improvement: 1. The Spa is pretty basic. OK a range of treatments are offered, but the Spa has no separate pool nor therapeutic water treatments such as showers or whirlpool/jacuzz

We were really impressed by the Spice Island Beach Resort. However, a few aspects are of note and hence my "below 5 star" overall assessment/review. Firstly, location - absolutely fabulous. The resort layout has the majority of rooms offering direct access onto the ca 2km white sands of the Grand Anse Beach. We booked one of the Seagrape Suites. This fully met our expectations and was much better than the photos on some websites. The Seagrape suites are generously sized with a beach-side private terrasse equipped with seating and sunlounges. The majority of the property has benefited from recent modernisation and redecoration. All the staff were friendly and helpful. We were always addressed by name. Jamal was ever attentive and provided a regular beach service of drinks and refreshments throughout the day. In the restaurant Katrina, Lyndonna and Mikel always welcomed us with a smile and offered helpful menu suggestions. Lyndonna always ensured that our drinks never ran dry and quick to compensate any "evaporation". The gardens, though small, are beautifully maintained. The gardeners were helpful and provided explanations to our frequent plant questions. For a 5-Star resort there are, however, several aspects that need attention and improvement. 1. There are 2 restaurant/dining areas but effectively only one is functional during the day. The Oliver restaurant for breakfast and evening meals and the Sea & Surf at lunchtimes. It would be good to have both open in the evenings to enable guests the choice of fine dining (in The Oliver) or something simpler at Sea & Surf. 2. The lunchtime menus are fixed for the week. There is an excellent choice but provision of a self-service buffet could be helpful. This would provide additional choice and take the strain off both the serving staff and the kitchen. Changing the menu during the week would also give guests a greater dining choice. 3. The "a la carte" evening menu in The Oliver changes daily and offers a good choice. However, the menu repeats weekly. 4. Only one kitchen appears to service The Oliver and the Sea & Surf dining areas. Service is slow and the food served was frequently cold. The resort could benefit from either a larger kitchen or two separate cooking areas. The "slow service" was not due to the serving staff but more down to the time for food preparation. By way of moderation the quality of the food served was first rate. 5. Having a 3rd restaurant/dining area would offer guests more dining choice. Most 5-star Caribbean Resorts have several themed restaurants for guests to dine at - Spice Island has effectively only one. Perhaps locating an additional restaurant at the Spa end of the resorts could be a consideration? 6. The Spa is disappointing. A good selection of treatments are offered but these are expensive (by European standards). The Spa itself has limited facilities - no pool, no therapeutic showers nor hydrotherapy resources. Again, disappointing for a resort of this high stand

Another incredible visit to the best beach front resort hotel I have ever been to. From incredible views, wonderful food, amazing staff who anticipate your every need and beautiful rooms this is the definition of a perfect vacation. If you able try the spa and take a day trip up into the rain forest and enjoy all of what Grenada has to offer. i view this is not just the number one choice in Grenada but all of the Caribbean and i have been coming here for 30 years

We stayed at this gorgeous resort for one week. Sea Grape Room #6 was perfect and quiet for us! Literally steps from the beautiful white sand Grand Anse beach. Swimming every day. Very easy to step into these waters. No rough waves. The food was incredible. My hubby is vegan and they prepared fresh daily special meals for him breakfast lunch and dinner. Simply let them know in advance of arrival. The room amazing. Maid service top notch. Never a drop of sand to be found. The bed more comfortable than our one at home and wish we could have taken with us! Janissa Spa couples massage a great way to unwind. Shout out to Nordia, Delorna, Lindonna, Lucy, Shawna and cocktails on the beach courtesy of Jamal. You all made us feel so welcome . Saturdays are busy (weekend day trip to the beach for local folks). If you are thinking of taking a day trip/excursion, this would be the day. The grounds are impeccable with loads of gorgeous tropical plants and birds. The only disappointment was to learn the island does not recycle, and there is no effort at all to cut back on plastic. Plastic water bottles, plastic disposable cups (for beach). It would be great if the resort could take some leadership in this area.

We really enjoyed our week here and didn’t want to leave - it was the ultimate in relaxation. Our room which was one of the Oleander Suites had a lovely bathroom with a large walk in shower and nice toiletries. It was spacious and very clean. I found the bed very hard and there was no foam or feather topper that could be applied despite my request. Towels and linens were good quality and replenished regularly. We found the food in the restaurant for dinner to be very good, particularly the lobster and filet steak! The Friday night buffet was really disappointing - the wait staff told me most guests prefer a la carte so not sure why they do a buffet. The restaurant service was mostly very good, apart from at breakfast which for some reason seemed to be more of a challenge.. Lunch menu was ok but they could do with a bit more variety here. The ice cream was excellent! We didn’t like the white wine by the glass but the rose one was very nice. The beach and beautiful sea - wonderful to swim in - are the main attraction here but we ended up spending more time by the pool as the service was better there and we didn’t want to be served drinks in paper cups. We also enjoyed some excellent spa treatments. A couple of things were a bit odd, firstly there was no visible water sports personnel on the beach so no-one advising on water conditions or keeping an eye on the guests in the water. For that, among other reasons, I don’t think this is a great hotel for kids - there really is nothing for them to do and the pool is very deep and not that big. The beach is public so at the weekend did get very busy with non-guests so if exclusivity is your thing then that should be considered. The weekend was the only time we saw any security and they seemed in the main to be trying (not too hard) to keep non-guests from using the sun beds. Despite a few ******* I will give this a 5* review because they did try hard to meet all of your requests and I think the hotel is beautifully maintained. I also liked the little touches like candles lit in the bathrooms in the evening and cool towels being handed out by the pool. We had a really lovely time and I would happily return.

We Absolutely love this beautiful hotel, we’ve being exploring the Caribbean islands for 25 years and this is now our favorite place to spend a few weeks. The location, the suites, the staff, the amazing Grande Anse beach, it’s just perfect and it’s only a ten minute ride from the airport. See you soon Spice Island 😎

My wife and I made our seventh visit to this all-inclusive resort. Since our previous visit in 2023, a major renovation of the dining area, the bar and terrace in between these two facilities had taken place. in addition, new furniture in keeping with the new decor had been put in place. The changes were most impressive and a successful improvement to the resort. Well done to all concerned. Otherwise, the resort was as we have come to expect, with a comfortable Sea Grape room overlooking Grand Anse beach. The service provided by all members of staff was first class with all employees demonstrating attention to their respective jobs to ensure the guest is well looked after. The food has always been of a high standard but I thought that this year , the standard had increased a notch. Congratulations. All in all a most enjoyable visit made more so by the kind attention paid on the occasion of my 80th birthday. Thank you. A return visit looms.

Just returned from our two week honeymoon at the Spice Island Beach Resort. We did a lot of research before booking as we wanted something beautiful and luxurious without being pretentious and that is exactly what we got at this resort. As many have mentioned in reviews, customer service there is second to none. We stayed in a Beachgrape suite (No 47) and were far away from any noise. The food and service were excellent, plenty of choice at all meals. The hotel organised a couple of half day tours with the very knowledgeable Selwyn and we managed to see a lot of the island. The Saturday market in St George's is a must. Grenada, the people and this resort will remain in our hearts for ever. We hope to return soon.

"Look no further. One of the best beaches in the Caribbean, an excellent boutique hotel, outstanding service, great staff, and nothing is too much trouble. Loved the locals; such a safe place. Well done to all at Spice Island Beach Resort. A 10-day stay, next time I will stay longer. My husband and I travel frequently; we chose this hotel for the beachfront location. We chose Suite 39. This is pure relaxation; I've never managed to relax on any vacation like this. From check-in to the end of our stay, it was perfect. The staff goes the extra mile. I cannot fault anything. Beautiful beach; we walked every morning and swam on this island. The locals are so friendly. We did a few excursions, thoroughly enjoyed them, and went to Carriacou Island on the ferry by ourselves to Paradise Beach; it certainly lives up to its name. Our suite was cleaned every day, fully stocked fridge, breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea, and dinner. Stayed for 10 days and had 3 brilliant massages. The room and the location were quiet. They had some good entertainment during our stay. Also, on Friday evening and Sunday lunch, they serve local food. This was our favorite selection of delicious local food. There is no doubt that this hotel is the best in Grenada. I only have good things to say about this resort. Very clean, gardens are beautiful, waking up to birds singing, and the ocean every morning. What can you say! Thank you to the manager who was very efficient and proactive, always around, and keeping everything running like clockwork. We will definitely be back! We have just returned from our 5th visit. We stayed in a Seagrape Beach Suite for two weeks, which is our preferred room type given the room size and location. The changes since our last visit are upgrades to the bar restaurant and area between the two restaurants. The hotel has become more casual than previously. The food offering is good and we always found something to suit us. The inclusive white wines were not to our taste, but the rose and one of the reds was okay and of course spirits etc are available as an alternative. The staff are certainly the best we have experienced anywhere. A great effort was made with extra events arranged as part of the 50th Anniversary of Grenada becoming independent The gym and also our bathroom were showing their age, otherwise the resort is in excellent condition. We plan to return again in the future.
