Toba International Hotel

The room faces the sea, and you can see the sea view while lying on the bed! On the first night we had Western food. On the second night we ordered Japanese food from Chaolutei. They were all very delicious😋

It was particularly bad. There was a strange decoration smell. I asked the front desk to change the room but it still didn't work. I had to make do with it, which gave both my children a headache. Secondly, there was nothing to eat around. It was dark and we couldn’t go anywhere. Except for self-driving, the four of us bought 6 pieces of bread and ate them. There was no dinner in the hotel.

The room is very clean, facing the sea, the room is also large, the food is also exquisite, I have a lot of fun playing around, the service staff has a very good attitude, the overall feeling is a very good hotel

The location of this hotel is very good. Except for the slightly higher price, I am very satisfied with everything else.

I took my mother on a trip and mistakenly decided on this hotel, which may be quite popular (?) among Japanese guests. The corridors of the hotel are full of photos of the Emperor and the Queen of England. I also saw previous reviews saying that this hotel has hosted British guests. The queen decided it, but it was a big mistake. The hotel staff's English is very limited, but the elderly staff can understand some and speak simple conversations. What shocked me most was that in a Western restaurant with a strong accent and high demands on customers, the young waiter could not understand or speak English at all. It was early evening when we checked in. I took the hotel shuttle bus from Kintetsu Station to the front desk and was told that it was the last bus of the day (the hotel was on a hillside, around 5 o'clock at the time). My mother and I were completely dumbfounded. The hotel is on a hillside, there are no businesses nearby, and the winding mountain road is not safe after dark, so it is not suitable for staying except by self-driving. Reluctantly giving up the original tour plan, I checked in and booked a French meal at the hotel based on the recommendation of the only employee at the front desk who could speak English. I was told that a seat would be available at 8 o'clock at the earliest. Then I discovered that in addition to the inconvenient transportation, the hotel itself did not have any tourist and entertainment facilities. The lobby cafe was completely closed before 6 p.m. So my mother and I could only walk in the corridor and visit the hotel souvenir shop (we only found milk to satisfy our hunger, which was really miserable). After waiting for 2 hours, the Japanese and Western food we had was more formal than content. I can only say that the price of dinner was relatively cheap. More reasonable. In general, the hotel may have been good a few decades ago, but now the facilities and services at this price point made my mother nag me for several days during the next trip. I would not recommend it if you are not fluent in Japanese or can't speak it, and there is no Check-in for self-driving tourists.

The environment and service are great. The suite is spacious and comfortable, with beautiful sea views. It is very close to Toba Station, and there is a free shuttle bus during the day. We arrived late on the first night, so taking a taxi to the hotel only cost less than 1,000 yen. If you want to go to the annex to soak in the hot springs, the front desk will arrange a car, which is also very convenient. The only drawback is that the breakfast is a bit ordinary.
