Ah...Paradise in one word!!! Our only regret is not having enough time to soak in all the wonders that Desierto Azul has to offer. The setting is beyond serene and charming with the lovely cactus garden that is so unique to the property. You can't ask for a better place to wind down, chill and just enjoy the wonderfully prepared organic meals and locally sourced wines. This stylish boutique hotel is within a short distance to downtown Todos Santos... you can take a short sunset stroll to the beach and even walk to some cute restaurants and bars right down the road. We really enjoyed meeting and chatting with Fabrizio and Jose as well... such fabulous hosts! Rest assured we'll be back for a longer stay next time.

We have now had two visits to Desierto Azul, and each time has been a lovely decompress into the Baja desert, a place allowing us to rest and chill, to sit and gaze off at the mountains, the cactus garden, or the stars and moon. It is also very convenient to both Todos Santos, the town, and to the surrounding countryside where we could get off for desert hikes. The owners and staff are most lovely, and kind, and there to accommodate our every need. The morning breakfast, lovingly prepared by Marta, was fresh and so very healthy, with fresh bread and locally made granola, and freshly prepared juices and strong, dark coffee (or, a mellow tea). We've had two different rooms there (there are only 4!), and they were idyllically positioned such that you can see the sun in the morning from your bed, and provide a lovely serene setting to aide and abet your stay. We will be back...

My daughter and I couldn’t find a better place to stay. Desierto Azul is an excellent place to relax and enjoy. Amazing service and delicious breakfast. Best avocado toast, natural juice pressed at the moment. Simple a wonderful place to stay.

I traveled to Todos Santos alone to unwind and couldn't have asked for a better exerience. I stayed at Desierto Azul for five nights and was seriously considering extending my trip just to stay there longer. I don't typically write reviews, but this place is too special not to share. The property: the owners did an incredible job creating a tranquil and beautiful home-away-from-home. The grounds are gorgeous; the pool is sublime; the rooms are tasteful, comfortable, and spacious. I'm a designer with a discerning eye, and I can assure you there was not a detail unconsidered. Truly everything about this property is delightful: the colorful tile, the poured concrete floors and inset nooks and shelves, the soft orangic linen curatins and bedding, the ceramic and enamel serveware, the landscaping and stone-lined curving walkways, even the curtain rods and railings they've made from natural, perfectly imperfect wood. The eco consciousness: If this is not your thing, then no problem, you'll stay in a beautiful hotelito and won't feel like you are compromising any luxury. If this IS your thing, it is such a treat to notice how little waste is generated. From the reusable coffee carafe and filter, to the little mini bar treats that come in refillable jars, to the fact that – OMG – i didn't have to buy a single plastic bottle of water my entire stay. Bring a big reusable bottle and have a constant supply of delicious filtered water with you at all times. The hospitality: I wasn't prepared for just how comfortable and taken care of I was going to feel here. Jose, the manager, is a sparkling gem of a human – with eyes to match. He made me laugh daily, anticipated my needs, provided thoughtful recommendations, and talked to me (and everyone else staying there) like friends. I spent less time with Fabrizio and Nilu, but they are equally kind and quick to offer help. Their creativity can be found everywhere you look, and every few days you encounter one of their adorable and well-mannered daughters. They have done such a wonderful job creating a space that feels like home – the home of my Baja dreams. The location: I really loved being a little outside of "town." I would recommend having a car. There is just so much to see and enjoy when you can easily get yourself around – and it is truly easy to get around this area. The restaurants in Las Tunas (just a couple minutes from the hotel) are excellent and the vibe is so relaxed and desert-beachy. You can get into Todos Santos in less than 10 minutes for shops and more (great) restaurants, and to any number of local beaches in two to 20 minutes. I went to a new beach everyday – they're all unique and offer a little something different. The hotel itself sits in a tranquil little cactus field and is so quiet and mellow. I would leave my doors open (screens closed) in the evenings and mainly heard the chirp of insects. I could keep going, but this is probably enough :) Do yourself a favor and stay at this dream

My wife and I stayed for three nights celebrating our honeymoon after a few days in Mexico City and it was a great place to relax. With just 4 rooms, you feel like you have your private villa in Todos Santos complete with bar, breakfast and saltwater pool. The owners and staff are truly lovely and very helpful with local recommendations, and they have daily room cleanings which is a nice addition. Go now - this place only opened in November 2021 and will be THE place to stay in Todos Santos.

One word to describe it - “soulful”. The 4 room boutique hotel 7 minutes drive from the old town away from the noise of Todos Santos Centro, is newly built, using only sustainable materials that’s all organic from the curtains, towels, rugs and bed sheets- to lamps, furnitures, toiletries and bathroom fixture! Bathrooms and sinks used polished concrete. Strong water pressure. Toiletries are organic as well as the coffee and tea. Amazingly the power source is 100% solar- bringing the heat to your shower. Enjoy the warm salt water pool, chemical free. They cover the pool with thermals to preserve the heat. The place celebrates the earth and all it has to offer! Do not expect to have TV and watch netflix or CNN. If you need to-use your laptop. Otherwise, the place is for healing- pranayama! The sight of cactus, the stones, the desert and the stillness of the place brings one serenity and rejuvenation. At night my daughter and I listened to Spa music to maximize the stay in the immaculately clean 2 queen bed room. Bed is so comfy- organically made, not to soft not to hard but hybrid. Organic coffee and tea in the room with sustainably made snacks. Wifi is strong everywhere! From Dining to the pool area.Water is cartridge filtered-removing impurities but retaining essential minerals, so you can drink the tasty water from tap and enjoy your shower too. There is a foot bath outside your room with towerls to wipe your feet. At night, the lighting is very dramatic. We woke up to a hearty, plant based breakfast of berries, yogurt, granola, choice of gluten or sprouted bread. Organic coffee, eggs - vegan/vegetarian options.Gluten free bread available upon request. Barefoot dining is encouraged. As the wife of Fabricio is a Chef nutritionist, meals were carefully planned to heal, not just to fill. A cooking school is set to open in a few months where guests can learn to cook food as medicine, therapy and pleasure. Can't wait to experience their detox cooking class. I commend the owners for creating the fusion of beauty, sustainability and care for the environment. But what matters the most is the warmth of the owners. Always willing to please. Don’t look elsewhere. Will definitely come back.

Desierto Azul is a wonderful oasis just north of Todos Santos. It’s a small, family run, boutique hotel, with only 4 rooms. I can’t say enough about what a great experience we had staying there. We had fantastic service, enjoyed the beautiful pool and view of the desert and mountains, and a 10 minute walk to the beach for whale watching, miles of sand, and a turtle sanctuary. The continental breakfasts were delicious (yogurt, fruit, fresh juice, granola, bread, even a scrumptious avocado toast on occasion!). The rooms were beautifully decorated with very thoughtful touches, sheets and towels were so soft, bed was super comfortable, and even the soap/shampoo were great quality. We had pour-over coffee and a kettle to enjoy coffee in the mornings, which was a great perk while we waited for breakfast. To note, everything from the food, to the towels and sheets, shampoo, and coffee is organic. The place is located about a 10 minute drive to Todos Santos, however there are also several good restaurants within walking distance (or a quick 2 minute drive). Fabulous spot - would highly recommend to anyone visiting Todos Santos!
