A fabulous hotel. We stayed in a room with a balcony which was a nice size, very comfortable and clean. The breakfast was wonderful with a lot of choice. Staff were happy and want to help you. They gave us some ideas for different types of restaurants, one that we went to was a pizza restaurant, it was the best pizza I have ever eaten! The hotel is centrally located to the port and the beaches, right in the middle of the roads to take you to the shops. It is quiet with a large car park (payable) and a garden type piazza. There is a fabulous bakery/cafe attached to the building. I would definitely stay again. Do check your rooms though as this is a converted hotel from a very old building so each room is slightly different in shape and size.

Beautiful building in a perfect location in the heart of Trapani. Great value, great location for bars and restaurants. The little cafe just down the street made fresh food and lovely coffee. The staff were so friendly and helped with booking trips to the islands from the port which is a few minutes walk away. They also recommended restaurants to eat, how to get to the beach and the cable car to Erice all within easy reach. The staff also organised our transfer to the airport. Great service would highly recommend and wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. Thank you! 😊

We spent a wonderful week in Scily travelling by car around the island. Visited impressive sightseeing places. At the end of the trip decided to stay in Trapani before the flight. And as a wonderful end of our adventures was the stay in the perfect apartment. It is a real well equipped , of modern design and marvellous atmosphere appartment. The host are super hospitable and friendly, enjoyed communucating with them. Everything that you want to see is 1-10 min walk. A lot of restaurants around. The streets are clean , people smily and lively. Thank you for the opportunity to stay in this appartment. That was luck for us.

Before we even checked in, we found Historico to be very helpful when we emailed them with questions. If you have a late flight coming in to Trapani-Birgi Airport, Historico can arrange a 30 euro taxi for you to remove the hassle of getting the bus. The area the hotel is situated in is beautiful and feels very safe. We arrived at around 11PM, and the front doors were open. This is unusual at this time, but we soon realised that the staff member at the desk, Filippo, was waiting inside to welcome us. It can be a little difficult in Italy for travellers to find their hotels, so we really appreciated this, especially given the late hour. Filippo then gave us excellent advice on where to eat, what to see, which bus to take and more. At the end of our trip, he even offered to store our luggage until we returned for it. This allowed us to visit Erice, which we found stunning. The room itself is jaw-dropping. The ceilings are about 20 feet high, the room is very spacious with a huge bed and beautiful bathroom. There’s even a balcony. Considering the Historico’s low prices, the room and service completely blew us away. We paid average prices for a 5-star experience, and we couldn’t be happier. La Gancia is a hotel overlooking the water in Trapani. The TA reviews were very positive, but when I called to reserve they were full. They suggested the Gaura Apartments, which they operate next door. We booked 2 apartments, one being the penthouse. Both apartments had balconies overlooking the sea. The penthouse had an additional one with a dramatic view of the duomo. The apartments were very clean and large with a separate sleeping area apart from the living room. The doors to the balconies can be fully opened and the sea sits just below your window. The staff at La Gancia provide the same concierge services as the hotel. I have never been greeted by a more helpful and cheerful staff. A special call out to Claudia,Aurora, and Andria who helped us with anything we needed or had difficulty with. I want to add that I found the travel guidebooks I used did a disservice to the city of Trapani. The old city is charming ,and the port to the islands is very close to the hotel and apartments. Erice, accessed from a cable car ride on the edge of town was absolutely magical and one could easily spend a full day there. We had only booked 2 nights in Trapani and left sooner than we would have wished. Consider this location as a base to the towns on the west coast of Sicily.

We arrivered in the evening and our luggage was brought to our room by the hotel employee. There is a big parking area direct in front of the hotel for 0.10 €/hours. By a 5 min walk you are in the center and 15 min to the port. We got an extraordinarily nice room with a lot of space and very clean. The bath was brand new and spacious. The employees were more than friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet was complete for us. The reception allowed us to leave our baggage in the hotel for 1 night because we travelled to Favignana for 1 1/2 days. I would recommend this hotel in Trapani.
