Hotel l'Incomparable by les Etincelles

We had a wonderful stay at the L'incomparable. The spa & wellness area is excellent. The garden is wonderful and the sight to the lake from the hotel is unique. The staff was very friendly, helpful and fulfilled always our wishes. We can recommend this hotel and we will certainly come back.

Staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Special thanks to Kenny who came through multiple times. We were celebrating a birthday for a 10-year-old and the service and accommodation couldn't have been better. Beyond that, the well-cared-for property with fabulous views, has such a great balance. A small number of rooms and lots of amenities. Very comfy all around.

Almost perfect, charming staff but lack of management. At the reception the friendliness of the staff gives you the feel of being really welcome. The location of the hotel couldn’t be better offering a stunning view. The renovated rooms in the elegant building are comfortable. The Spa is also very good. Overall the hotel could be one of the best but unfortunately it does not meet the level which someone expects in this price category. The (invisible) management seems to be part of an investment company lacking even the basics of the Hotel and Restauration business. We could list a lot of details but won’t bore you with that. The friendliness of the staff compensates to a great extend the lack of management and training. Further we booked for 2 nights and weren’t aware that the hotel seems to be concentrating on short term bookings only. We enjoyed the „menu de degustation“ very much but didn’t feel like eating the same (4 or 6 course) dinner the next day again. The only alternative was „something in the room“. It’s not possible to eat anything else on the terrace/restaurant. The bistro was closed. A rather strange concept. We also recommend to ask for a table on the wonderful terrace in front of the house and definitely not in front of the very loud and annoying ventilation system of the house. These 3 tables should be only given to elderly guests who can switch off their hearing aid…;-) With the help of an international hotel manager this hotel could be converted very quickly into one of t h e addresses around the lake.

Really loved this magical place - Superb all around Incredibly attentive staff, especially Kenny and Nash, made the experience really super personalized. The level of service and attention was extraordinary. The area is a paradise for cycling, water sports, climbing, etc. as well as some of the finest restaurants in France. Highly recommend for an active but extremely relaxing getaway especially for couples.

This hotel could be a very great experience, the place is beautiful, pretty view, calm, well equipped, great FF&E, great surroundings, great food... But, the service is a complete nightmare, a big joke, most 2* hotels have a higher service quality. Employees have just ZERO common sens and even less (if possible) experience in hospitality standards! What a shame !!! We had daily experiences sharing at the breakfast with the other guests, we had all the same comments and the same question: Where are the hidden cameras, as unbelievable the experience was, we believed it might have been a joke for TV show... but no !

Great hotel

Went here for lunch with some friends from the area and had an amazing time. This restaurant operates under a unique style which I actually like. You simply select the items you do not want to eat and leave the rest to the chef. The food was excellent, I enjoyed every dish and some of the flavor combinations were both ambitious and tasty. A great selection of wines is on offer at any price point. For a 60 euro pre-fixe this is an incredible experience and I look forward to returning.
