this historic hotel is located on a hill,abt 20mins walk from downtown.provides spacious,comfortable rooms away from bustle &hustle of the city.taxi rides are relatively cheap abt 4usd to go to town.landscaped with a mini waterfall in backyard.the verandah at level 2dining area provides views of surrounding snowcapped Andes mountains at sunrise &sunset.Lots of common sitting area in lounge .Vintage telephones.Alpine architecture,Sturdy building

This historic hotel ls a grand dame on a hill & I will recommend it to everyone . It is about 20mins walk from downtown & offers spacious & clean rooms away from the hustle & bustle of downtown. IN addition, you can watch sunrise & sunset over the snowcapped Andes from the dining room on level 2. There are lots of spaces to lounge around in the sitting room on level 1.

We stayed here 3 nights after an Antarctic cruise I was disappointed Had a grand reception, comfortable lounge and fabulous views to beagle channel and mountains But continental breakfast quite poor in quality and choice Room had a fixed window so no way of opening it and en-suite had no window or extractor fan so unable to get any fresh air to room If we were in it we kept the door open. They didn’t want anyone to put meal/ drink charges to room If you ordered a coffee the card machine appeared at the same time Just didn’t find it very nice to spend time in

The hotel is worn out, the breakfast is not worth eating but the bed is good, and when you only had to stay here for 12 hours it will do. Beautiful view from the sitting room, and they could with little effort make this a great place. Guess they just don’t know how

I traveled with my husband and 2 children in January 2025. The hotel is old, but comfortable. The room we stayed in was very spacious and clean. However, the wifi only worked at the reception and restaurant. The breakfast was basic and repetitive, but it met our needs. The hotel restaurant offers lunch and dinner options. The hotel is a little far from the main avenue, about 1.5 km away, and since it is on a high part, it has a beautiful view of the Beagle Channel.

The truth is that I was very satisfied with the hotel. The heating was adequate, the water was very hot and with a lot of pressure, the food was very tasty and homemade. The attention of the girls was impeccable. Having breakfast watching the sunrise with that view was priceless. Beautiful location. Going down to the center is easy, going up is difficult, but if you don't feel like walking, a taxi to the hotel is approximately $1,600 in April 2024. To improve the breakfast, I would add some seasonal fruit and not canned fruit, but that's all. Thank you very much. We will be back!

This hotel must have been a good choice in the 70s or 80s (it seems that it has fallen behind in terms of both maintenance and technology). The rooms, although comfortable and clean, were very hot, with a TV with 5 air conditioning channels, poor internet, no minibar and very old-fashioned bathrooms (it took about 10 minutes for the hot water to come out). The breakfast was very basic. The staff was very friendly.

Beautiful view of the bay. We arrived on Nov 16, 2023, in this beautiful hotel our small group of 10 people alone in the world, and well pampered by the female and male staff. Large and beautiful restaurant room, white tablecloth, and good food. Good meals, and good breakfasts during our stay; Spacious room, with a view of the world-famous bay. Ushuaia will remain forever engraved in my heart.

O hotel é bom, as camas são confortáveis, o chuveiro é quente e a limpeza é boa, os funcionários são educados. Pecam no Wi-Fi que não funciona nos quartos, se você é estrangeiro, prepare o pacote de roaming, as TVs também não tem acesso a internet. No mais, recomendo o hotel para quem está fazendo a viagem de carro.
