Room was in very poor shape - walked in on ripped carpeting, dirty walls and ceiling was covered with spots. Lamps and outlets did not work - had to go to front desk and request one that we could use to recharge our phones. Even the nightstand clock kept making strange noises at various intervals so we unplugged it.
The bathroom had been re-done and was in good shape but the condition of the actual room and furnishings (- dark wooden desk sagged in the middle) was horrible.
First morning at breakfast at 7:10 -no staff around!!! no coffee or refill carafes, no waffle batter, no milk, no food in one of chaffing dishes and only a scoop of scrambled eggs. Very few and limited pastries and only bananas and apples. Finally went to front desk and called out for staff to talk - guy came and said he was off at 7:00 but no one else had shown up for breakfast or front desk duty. He gets breakfast started at 6:30 but that is the end of his responsibility: I asked to speak to manager and was told manager does not work on weekends: I asked for other staff to talk to and he said that he was the ONLY staff member on site and was just waiting to go home and that he could not help me. We had cold pre-packaged individual coffee cake and the remaining scoop of scrambled eggs. Other guests came in and helped themselves to access to the “staff only” area in order to get a gallon of milk so they could pour it over their cold boxed cereal.
This is totally inexcusable and probably not legal.
