I booked this place in a bit of a rush because we had to return from Provence early and to find a stop-over at short notice. I wish I'd researched it a bit more carefully and read some of the reviews here very critical of the service - because that was very true of our experience, too. And for me the warmth and welcome of the staff is as important as the comfort of the room (which was OK) Some of the service wasn't just mildly bad - it was startingly so. For example, the extraordinary indifference (some might say rudeness) of the guy on reception when we arrived set an unfortunate tone. And the grumpiness of the young woman who served us at dinner felt like a parody at times . She would have fitted in well at Fawlty Towers and having the menu literally plucked out of my hand would have been a comedy moment if it hadn't been so unpleasant. The young woman at breakfast was much more helpful. But the whole impression was one of a big corporate establishment which didn't take much interest in giving its clients a positive and happy experience. My professional background is in management - and quite frankly if any of my staff had behaved in these ways, their feet wouldn't have touched the ground! This calls for some radical staff training - and maybe a thought about whether staff recruitment policies are working?! Suffice it to say, when there are so many lovely hotel and Logis experiences to be had in France - we wouldn't dream of going back.

Stayed here having seen Harry Metcalfe recommend it on his YT channel. We stayed for one night en route to the French Alps. NIce cosy room but nothing special. All very clean and well presented. The restaurant was good the particular stand out being the wine list which you would expect given it sits in the heart of Beaujolais country. Didn't get to use the spa facilities. Fabulous wine shop next door

The reason for choosing the hotel was originally because the restaurant was open on Sunday evening. But that was only part of the charm and pleasure of our brief stay. The atmosphere created by the staff was pleasing to feel.

Excellent hotel, hi-tech bathroom, efficient a/c, good location. Restaurant and staff were a disappointment. We had to search for staff to get a pre-dinner drink. They were unhelpful. Moving in to dinner we were struck by the same grumpy attitude from the young and not well trained staff. The food and cooking were not of a standard you expect from a Georges Blanc establishment. The pattern repeated at breakfast, albeit from an older competent lady. Empathy was in very short supply. This was our third, and probably last visit. The decline is palpable.

We have stayed here a few times. The new rooms are lovely. Very roomy and well appointed. Food is very good and always reliable. A large wine shop round the corner is a must visit. Breakfast good. Easy access from motorway.

A terrible place. Rude staff and neither the pool or the food from the restaurant was fresh. My wife got food poisoning and an broken power cord cable was left in the pool that did’t feel safe at all. We don’t recommend this place to anyone.

Comfortable room, good meal, pleasant staff and attractive grounds make a very good stop-off point to relax in between long drives. There is the added advantage of being on the doorstep of Duboeuf where you can pick up some excellent Beaujolais to take with you to your destination!

We had the feeling that the food was industrial. We did not like the red inner walls, we were sad to see customers going to dinner in shorts. The spa in the park is fun, and the massages are great and absolutely professional.
