The Barclay Towers Hotel and Resort

Our stay was enjoyable. It was quiet and private just like we wanted. Although the housekeeping could have been a little better. We asked for clean ljnen. They didnt knock or anything to let us know it had arrived they just left it in a big trash bag outside the door.

Upon checkin at 6:00 pm, we went up to our room on the 6th floor and it wasn’t cleaned. So they gave us a different room on the 3rd floor. I get it, people smoke pot. But the room smelled really bad. Not only did it stink like **** but it smelled like vomit as well. The front desk said that they sprayed the room and can come back and spray again. So they moved us back to our original room and the toilet was not cleaned. (I won’t go into detail) so the maintenance guys comes up and cleans it. That was appreciated. Come to find out he was the one that had to clean the room prior to us moving in. We chose to leave early and upon checkout the manager Tracy would yell from her desk in the office behind the front desk and not come out to talk to us in person. What kind of customer service is that? We cannot recommend this hotel due to cleanliness, smell, and lack of customer service professionalism.

Just SO dirty we left after first night (originally staying 3). Hair & dust dirt etc, sticky kitchen table, didn’t walk around without shoes. View was incredible, but not worth staying in such a dirty room. If it was deep cleaned it would be good, it looked good online in pictures, but gross in person

This is one of my favorite hotels to come too. The staff is usually always nice and the the check-in always moves fast and smooth

Pro -- 1. each room is a SUITE w/ fridge, microwave, regular over and cook top. 2. each suite faces the OCEAN and has a balcony w/ 2 chairs 3. convenient, right between the beach and the main road w/ lots of services. Cons-- 1. the whirlpool wasn't working part of the time we were there,2. the coffee maker didn't work 1 day

The front desk staff was very welcoming. When I got to my first room it had a bad smell but when I called front desk they didn’t hesitate to move me to another room that was better. I love this hotel.

Our stay good. We had no major problems. The property is showing wear and tear that comes with age. Do feel the hallways, elevator, mats as you come into lobby could be better maintained. Room was reasonably clean. However, the faucets leaked (probably needed new washers), handle on toilet was sticking, toilet seat needed tightenimg, wear and tear on walls of shower, rust on balcony door, heater was extremely noisy. The staff was pleasant and check-in was smooth. When we needed dish towels and new sponge, they had it quickly brought up. Needed help with the TV and someone came promptly. The problem was not the TV, it was us. We weren't doing something right. As we encountered the staff in hallway or elevator in our goings and comings, they were pleasant.

This hotel continues to slide down hill. We have stayed here for a week for the last 5 years. We were disappointed last year when they were doing renovation. Well, other than a new lobby, everyting else has been neglected. Breakfast is no longer offered and the area has become a dumping ground for junk. Pool area is always dirty, tiles are popping off everywhere, the hot tub is chipped and cracked, never enough or often no towels. He restroom/changing room is dawful. Fitness room was a disaster. There was an Out of Service sign on the treadmill and the other equipmet had the cords missing. Nothing worked. Room a/c heater is very noisy. Asked for extra towels for the room amd was told we could only have 1 per person. Had to request cleaning service to get clean ones. Kitchen is stocked with almost the basics. 3 plates, 5 saucers 2 glasses, 3 cups. Sofa sleeper is in need of a new mattress. Under the sofa has not seen a broom in years. Next year we will go to a different hotel.
