"My family booked the cottage on a very hot 40degree day, the aircon didn't do anything to cool the room down. It was hotter inside than it was outside. So we got ready to go for a swim. Not long after we had checked in we received an emergency call & had to leave. I requested a refund but they wouldn't as no-one else ended up staying in the room. Very upset with their inconsiderate response won't be returning"

"It is right at wate front with great view. The room is spacious and very clean. We stayed for only one night, so won't know much of the service. We had a few suitcases so to move upstaires was tricky. If we had a chance again, we would have booked a cabin or something ground floor. Overall, a good place if you travel light."

"The Sonbern is located close to the main drag, pubs, cafes and a small shopping centre. The beach and jetty are within walking distance. The room was very reasonably priced. It had excellent amenities such as a microwave, toaster, free WiFi, effective air-conditioning and heating, cutlery. A lovely touch was the personal products of shampoo, conditioner and shower cap. Biscuits were replaced every day. Outside facilities included 2 BBQ and seating, washing line/clothes hoist. Each room had its own table and chairs outside so you had somewhere to sit. A most enjoyable stay. Have booked again for a January visit."
