The York Hotel

I booked this hotel for me and my daughter to get away for the weekend. It far surpassed my expectation with it being one of the cheapest options. The staff were really friendly and welcoming and very lovely to my daughter, even giving her a key ring to put on her bag. The breakfast was ideal and the carvery ideal. We had planned on eating out but after seeing and smelling it, we decided to stay in for one. A bonus was being able to sit and look over the beach and the pier as we ate. I had reservations about noise but it was a really quiet hotel, no noise from other guests and surprisingly quiet from the busy road outside. Our twin room was more than big enough with two beds, a sofa and still enough room to swing a cat. Everything was nice and clean. Will definitely be popping back at some point. Thanks for the stay!

This is the best hotel in western super mare. B the manger is brilliant helpful friendly we booked in I am on crutches they change my room straight away all the staff are 1st class very professional they were serving food I wearing white gloves .Very nice to see the hotel have good standards we will definitely be back

So easy to book. The Hotel was in a prime position. The room with shower and tea/coffee facilities was good. Breakfast was superb and plentiful. Lovely staff with good humour. Loved it there and would go again.

Very good value for money. Very clean, easy check in. Very close to everything, car park only a 1 minute walk away. Staff very helpful and friendly The breakfast was absolutely perfect. Set us up perfectly for the day.

The hotel it's self was lovely ,lovely room ,lovely sea views but the cooked breakfast was not to our standards ,but this will not stop us from returning . Overall a great value for money

I have stayed at many hotels all over the world but VFM is this place excellent bed rooms nice 55" TV that actually worked comfy bed breakfast superb staff very friendly all in all no frills but did what it said on the tin excellent value will stay again.

A fantastic weekend 4 nights could not fault anything. Staff were brilliant nothing was too much trouble x . Room cosy and fresh . Shower beautifully hot . Breakfast unbearable . Dinner menu to die for and superb carvery on sunday plus full menu too . Thank you York hotel

A good value hotel with nice staff. Hotel itself could do with a bit of tlc. Some window handles missing and bad mastic around frames i presume to seal them shut. Our room was overall good although one of the sink cup holders broken and really should be removed for safety. Also really could do with a reseal around shower cubicle as very bad cracking all round. Overall a pleasant stay but if the hotel just spent a few quid improving things it would make all the difference.

Rooms too warm, couldn’t adjust radiator as nob wasn’t functioning, sink tap leaking
