On our way from Cape Town to the Pure Nature Lodge in Paterson we stopped twice at The Old Trading Post for a one-night stop-over. We really enjoyed it and on the way back to Cape Town it felt already like coming home :-) And the pizza dinner was really outstanding - really the best pizza we ever had!!! Next time we try to stay longer for some more activities in Wilderness...

A great find halfway between Cape Town and Kenton that is dog friendly. Very welcoming of our 3 dogs. Mike and Rene great hosts. Mike offer boat trips on the Touws river which is a bonus. Room comfortable and breakfast a delight

Beautiful established garden, amazing bird life, charming, peaceful and tranquil. Mike and Renee are very accommodating. I would recommend the breakfast. Nice walks in the close proximity Mike does amazing boat rides too. There are 5 dogs on the premises. Accommodation is animal friendly.

Thank you to the lovely people that run this lodge. Very amusing bush camps and tree-top rooms. I highly recommend a stay here if you are visiting Wilderness. They offer different types of accommodation and a variety of activities organised by the lodge and available in the area.

We had the most amasing relaxing visit. Our doggie Bandit was so welcomed. Mike & Renee were lovely hosts....and the Pizza's were the "bestest"!!! Thanks for all. Regards Mike and Marion - East London.

A great little hideaway. Easy to get on and off the N2 for onward journey whilst remaining quiet and tucked away. Perfect for bird lovers. Fantastic hosts! Will visit again if returning to Wilderness.

We stayed at The Old Trading Post in December 2021 for 3 nights. It is set in a quiet street with a nice view when you sit on the porch of the main house. The service was great and the food is excellent! The hosts are very friendly and hospitable.

On our way from Cape Town to the wonderful Pure Nature Lodge in Paterson we stopped twice at The Old Trading Post for one night stop-over. Traveling with 2 dogs and a cat is quite a challenge. Mike and Renee made sure that my stay was incredibly comfortable! They are exceptional hosts and the place is gorgeous. A very welcome bonus is the amazing pizzas that Renee makes!!
