Premier Inn Braintree (A120)

Would be happy to stay here again. Just remember it has no lift but its only over 2 floors. Have stayed here a couple of times now, turned up one night with a bad back, reception happy to help me up the stairs with my bag Clean, comfortable & good variety of food for breakfast. Pub just next door for dinner

I'm currently on business working in Chelmsford I picked this hotel as I wanted somewhere out of the City... I have been here nearly every week since April 24 for 3 to 4 days each time.... I've been so impressed with my visits here. The rooms, a little tired however spotless, all the staff are so friendly and helpful. Always greeted with smiles, they take time to chat to me which is so lovely as they know I am away from my family. The staff at reception couldn't be more warm and friendly and always professional going that extra mile. The team that work in the restaurant are brill, they know that I try and mix the food offering as it can get quite samey we giggle about what combination of breakfast I'm going to have... That said the chef does a great job the food is always hot, cooked to my liking and the restaurant is really clean... I'm really enjoying my stays, I have options to elsewhere for a change but I'm really happy here. Thanks guys, your amazing👏

Had the most amazing breakfast cooked by the lovely Yullia. Such a warm and friendly welcome by Tracy. Plenty of choice and food was lovely and hot. Surroundings were clean and welcoming. Highly recommend and will definitely be returning Thank you again xx

It is the staff that make this hotel worth a visit, and in my case, a return visit. I would like to name them all because they all add something special and clearly work hard. An older style building, no Plus rooms but if service with a smile and the extra mile is important to you then this is a Premier Inn to book.

Comfiest bed & pillows, always a good night sleep at a premier inn. Only a 1 night stay for a business trip but staff were friendly and very helpful! Breakfast was great too as it was a cook to order break so no food sitting out like a normal buffet.

Whilst we would like to compliment the staff on being friendly and helpful with each of the incidents that have occurred. It was somewhat disappointing we had to endure these problems. Positives were location as we were attending a local sporting event and comfortable beds. Negatives in summary • We had issue with the bathroom sink not draining and were given scissors to force it so would drain. • We had an issue with the main lights not working properly and if left on would flash throughout the night. Maintenance did fix this. • No record of breakfast bookings • The toilet flushing issue so had to hold handle against the wall to flush • Card machine not working so had to pay cash for breakfasts.

The room and the corridor was smelling of medication/like an hospital ward and there was mould on the bathroom tiles. It was really bad that I could breath in the room, my wife and I didn't stay more than 3 minutes in the room. I had to book a new hotel elsewhere as my health was more important than money.

I visited here for a work trip recently and I was really impressed with this hotel. The room was very clean and the welcome card with a little treat was a lovely touch! Breakfast was excellent and the staff were all very friendly. I will definitely be staying again when I am next in the area for work.

Mattress was amazing had a brilliant night sleep. Breakfast was good had plenty of choice some of the hot food was on the cooler side. No iron in the room which would be good for travellers. Overall good experience a perfectly good room for one night.
