The Woburn

Having had a business meeting here today the staff were impeccable. Food was Devine. Special call out to the staff that looked after myself and my colleague. Molly, Maddy, Harrison and Neil. My colleague wants to come back more often because of them and have had his experiences globally it’s a raving review… thank you all.

Bitterly disappointed due to multiple layer room pricing and offers. We reserved an ‘early booker’ B & B that was guaranteed to save money in January for a stay early March. A night before arrival I found that there was a third party offer that included the same room status with a food voucher for £50 and a complimentary drink - and - cheaper than our B & B that we had booked direct. On speaking with reception staff and management we were told that they could not do anything for us - the offer was out with their control. When I strongly suggested that this was totally unfair they surprisingly agreed! So would I book with Oakman again? There is simply no point. They do not reward guest loyalty and we were offered no element of compensation. So personal advice is - beware.

Loved the cute town but everything closed before we could order, thankfully the staff made us a delicious calzone and we ate an unexpectedly great meal right by the room. The outdoor seating was beautiful, we got a suite outside and felt like our own private apartment. The eggs benedict the next morning was also delicious, and overall it was just a really relaxing, upscale but unpretentious place to stay.

Get off the highway, drive through some countryside and discover an English village with pubs, restaurants and this upscale retreat. The rooms are elegant, bathrooms spacious and clean, the wood-fired pizza is great and the staff of so friendly! Just what we needed after some stressful highway travel and city living.. a relaxing place to unwind far from the traffic. This is the experience we came for. Can’t wait to walk over to see the deer and taste their breakfast!

We have just returned from a lovely three night break. The executive room was spacious and comfortable with water, tea,coffee and biscuits replaced daily along with toiletries. The food was excellent, huge portions and very tasty and the wine list good. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff who all seemed happy and friendly. Parking was good and the location excellent for Bletchley where we spent a full day as well as surrounding villages. Thank you for a very enjoyable anniversary break, recommended.

Situated perfectly for a visit to the safari park. We stayed the night before our Center Parcs break and couldn't have chosen a better place. We loved everything about it, the central location, plenty of parking, recpetion staff were very friendly and quickly checked us in. Rooms were large, bright, clean, modern and very comfortable. We ate in the restaurant and loved the food, great service, didn't have to wait long for anything. The full english breakfast the following morning was amazing. I would definitely stay here again, so glad I ignored the negative reviews.

We had such a relaxing peaceful break at The Woburn, it's a beautiful hotel in a wonderful area with great local walks, restaurants, pubs and village shop. The room we stayed in was, again, so peaceful, no slamming doors or noise from other rooms. It was super clean, offered an abundance of hot water to keep topping up the bath/have long showers and in-room central heating so the room is as hot or cold as you like it. A few things to note is that there are no fridges, telephones or 'information/welcome packs' in the room - but there is a lot of 'to do' information on their website which is easily accessible with the reliable, strong, free wifi. One thing we especially loved was that housekeeping only came to the room if you put the 'please make up my room' tag on the door handle. We prefer to be left alone rather than a knock at the door every morning so this suited us perfectly. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious, you can choose from the buffet or order off menu. There are some great options for lunch and dinner too and various differnet locations to sit and eat. The place was full morning, noon and night on the weekend. However......the most remarkable thing about The Woburn is the staff. Without exception every person we came into contact with was welcoming, kind and attentive - they did whatever they could to make our stay special. We called on reception and housekeeping with a couple of requests which were taken care of within a short amount of time and always with a smile. Thank you to all the lovely people at The Woburn, we left refreshed, relaxed and very happy.

Very good and reasonably priced option in the centre of Woburn. Parking ample and well signposted. Superior room was quirky and very comfy. stiflingly hot on first entry, but soon remedied by turning off the radiator. Shower/bath tap controls crazily complicated, but I guess you'd soon work it out if staying for longer than one night ! Also not enough sockets (none by bedside). Overall food was good. Breakfast choices excellent and nice to have hot items cooked to order, not via buffet. Dinner food was quite good. Wife's fish and shared mezze starter superb. My risotto was disappointing, but I suppose my fault for ordering it as I have never had a decent risotto outside Italy. Easy 20 minute drive to Bletchley Park the next morning.

I stayed here for two nights with my family bed and breakfast and we went to the restaurant at night the stay was good Friday night was a bit wishey washie service was slow the rooms were brilliant breakfast was nice we came back from our day out and booked a table and the service was brilliant don't know his name but the waiter we had was fantastic could not have done anything more for us and the food was a gorgeous very nice stay thank you to your team
