Tabist Hana Hotel Takinoya Aizu-Yanaizu

This four-story hotel in Aizu Yanaizu Onsen offers both meals and lodging. The hot spring is on the fourth floor, and there is also a private open-air rooftop bath. The spring water flows directly from the source, and the salty spring water is very warm. This time I chose the lodging plan. There is only one place in Yanaizu where you can eat dinner, but it was closed on this day. The inn will make you a lunch box if you ask, but since I had eaten a lot at lunch, I made do with cup noodles sold at the inn. Beer and alcohol are also sold in the lobby. There is a convenience store nearby, but it closes at 4 p.m., so there were no stores open within walking distance. Because of the location, if you are staying overnight, you will need to prepare food and drinks in advance. There is an electric kettle and a microwave in the hallway of the guest rooms. For breakfast, there is a handmade bakery nearby that is open early in the morning, so I recommend using it. It seems that not many people stay along the Tadami Line, but it is a good hot spring, so it is a good idea to stay at a rustic inn.

It felt like a guesthouse, but I was glad I could order meals.

The owner and staff are friendly and I was able to interact with many different guests.

It was great to visit Aizu Yanaizu Onsen♨️ for the first time in 30 years. The town has a Showa-era feel to it, which is perfect for middle-aged people like us. Takinoya is run by a married couple and is a great, family-like inn. Thank you for going out of your way to accommodate our requests. We were also able to ride the long-awaited Tadami Line. We hope to stay there again this fall when the entire line opens.

The owner and his wife are very nice and I want to go back again. The leather products made by the cook's son are of professional quality! The handmade Akabeko keychains are exquisite! The handmade open-air bath and the music of local radio exercises make this an inn that makes you feel like doing your best again today!
