We booked this cabin in June before the Jasper fires. JE cabins took the money for the entire stay immediately, and they stayed open during the fires, maybe because they are outside the park. When we arrived, they wanted 100$CAD for each nite as security deposit, quite excessive! The cabin itself was comfy, the heat worked well,(noisy) and the shower water was sparse. The kitchen was adequate. There was a problem with no internet one morning and internet was slow. There were two restaurants nearby aiming for your business. Lisa at the front desk was helpful when we had a few issues. There is a shared BBQ spot pictured. Jasper East Cabins are associated with the Overlander Mountain Lodge just down the road on Rt 16.

This is the first ever review I've written. The cabin was modern and clean. The bed was terrible like sleeping on a marshmallow. spongy and soft, not comfortable at all. The cabin is close to the HWY and is a bit noisy. The price is high for what the services are, no TV, it's very basic but clean and new. Three nights were too much.

The cabins are good. But they managed to clean the whole area in such a way that there is no living creature, beside humans. On the driveway to your cabin you might find some remains from previous visitors although they inform you when you check in that a 100 dollar will be surcharge, if you don’t clean dishes before leaving. Without even blinking their eyes. Internet is working hardly. We have been trying in the morning to get connected for hours, but well. You are suppose to be in the middle of the Rockys and what works in Jasper and Hinton, just does not work in Jasper East Cabins. There is a restaurant on the property with very loud music and a really bad acoustic. If you do not mind hair in your food and like alcoholic and pops with sugar, you will fit in perfectly. Hinton is very near and the food options there are great.

From check in to check out, we didn’t see a single staff member. Office closed early before we arrived, and keys were left for us outside the doors. Went to check out the gift shop during check out and office was still closed. Beautiful property but really odd that there was no staff on property

For the price we paid, I was really disappointed to find that our cabin stunk of cat pee. We had to keep the windows open to air this out and the sound of the highway isn’t the nicest. We also found random items from other people that had stayed in the room, socks under the chair, etc.

We stayed in a 2-bedroom unit at Jasper East Cabins for 1-night in early Oct ($449). This is a new resort, constructed in 2018, so everything is fresh, new, clean and impeccably maintained. The cabin, set one road back (no road noise), had a spacious common room with seating area, TV, etc., and a kitchen/dining area with all of the appliances and supplies and a large dining room table. The bedrooms were both the same size, with large, comfortable beds and plenty of storage space. The resort's location, just E of the Park's East Gate, made it a bit remote from the restaurants and stores of Jasper (30 min drive), but next door was the Folding Mountain Brew Pub, rated one of the top three in the Rocky Mountains by some, and just down the road from the sister resort which had a restaurant open for breakfast and dinner. Overall, a pleasant place to stay if you want to avoid the bustle and enormously inflated prices in Jasper but, still a bit expensive for the quality delivered.

This was a trip for my wife's birthday, just needed a disconnect weekend. Fantastic single room cabin, Close to Jasper national park. We were able to bring our puppy, he was so tired at the end of everyday. Special cabins just for pets. There is a brewery on the property, did not make it there this trip. Being able to shut the world out for a few days was refreshing. We will be back.
