Echigoyuzawa Onsen Nagomi No Oyado Takinoyu
3.3/51 Reviews
We had a nice stay in Takinoyu Hotel. When we departed from Tokyo, it was sunny and not snowing at all. Once Shinkansen train passed the tunnel, a whole different view was revealed. We were surprised by the snow-covered landscaped in Echigoyuzawa. The hotel offered a free shuttle van. You just need to make a call using a paid phone by the station exit. Our room was spacious, tidy and cozy, with a nice view. We had a tiny living room and massage chair and coffee maker. The hotel outdoor and indoor onsens were both great. On snowy days, the hotel offered free waterproof boots to keep your feet dry if you want to have an outside walking. There was a ski slope named Ipponsugi right in front of Echigoyuzawa Station, only 5 minutes’ walk from the hotel. Ski lift and rentals were also available. We had Kaiseki dinner in our room, which was a traditional multi-course and each individual tray was served one by one. Two trainees from China were arranged to prepare dinner for us and they introduced us the technique of Kaiseki Cuisine. The hotel breakfast was Japanese set meals served in a dining room, mostly local food such as grilled fish, soybean paste soup and oriental dishes. We’d recommend this hotel if you want to experience Japanese hospitality.

Stunning place to stay. Amazing views from very spacious rooms. Excellent service. Nothing was too much trouble. Teens had the best time exploring and making snow men. Enjoyed skiing at a close resort as Naspa skiing was over for the season. Easy access to town bus leaves every half hr.

There is a 24-hour convenience store near the station, and the location is great. However, be careful as the parking lot is small. The lobby is small and there is a chair fight. I checked in from 14:00 (it is possible if I pay an additional fee), but it was still a little crowded and there was a chair fight. Check-in was given priority, so the check-in time was about 5 minutes. If you don't like the small rooms, you shouldn't come. (The Japanese suite is relatively large because it has two bedrooms) The view is not good. There is air conditioner, but it is fixed to 24 ℃ in winter and is hot. The food was delicious and there were so many, but it was good (however, the breakfast the next day I ate soba at night was hell) However, from 15:00, it is difficult to make a reservation for meals from 17:30. Because it is difficult, Check in from 14:00 will be easier to take. The hot spring was the best. There are three private baths, but the place called ”Iwanoyu” is crowded, and depending on luck on the day you check in (relatively vacant during dinner) ”Iwanoyu” is vacant early in the morning of the next day (around 4:00 to 6:00). In addition, there are ice candy (free) (evening and night) and Yakult (free) (early morning to morning) at the bathing area, and you can eat ”night soba” for free from 23:00. The service was substantial. The room had a coffee mill and coffee beans and I was able to enjoy authentic coffee. The customer service was also good. It happened to be good, but the people in the lobby and the people in the restaurant were good with a clear voice. (There seems to be no other customer service)

Breakfast is Japanese style, I did n’t order, I do n’t know how it tastes, Japanese-style tatami, I booked a double room, if I am a migrant worker, I can sleep 4 adults, but the store only has 2 adults sleeping independently, many children! Adults stay here with their children skiing. The location is good (traffic, skiing, walking, hot springs). I do n’t pay attention to the parking lot. The Japanese are more affordable. Do you have a Shinkansen to drive? Store pick-up station snow field. I booked a room without a separate toilet and toilet. I was not used to it, and I got used to it the next day. There are public toilets and washstands on each floor, and a hot spring bath washer and dryer on the basement floor. I came here to stay. Good ski service, ski gear, clothing and ticket service.

One of the nearest hotel from the shinkansen station. Next to the carpark is the skiing area where you can play with the snow. The public onsen are great. One with huge indoor pool and 2 hot and 1 cold outdoor pool. Another one with only indoor pool. The dinner is really good with lot of varieties and delicacies. The room are big with two beds and tatami for 3 and with onsen type bath tub. The checkout time is quite early but the hotel provide free luggage lockers, good for those waiting for the train after checkout.

Overall it's old, but it's well cleaned. It was good that the room (standard Japanese-style room 10 tatami mats) was large enough for four adults. I was worried that it would not be annoying in the room right in front of the large communal bath. As a result, it wasn't annoying, but it was already very far from the 1 large communal bath and the elevator I took at meals. The scenery I was expecting to see in the photo was disappointing because the glass was cloudy inside and I couldn't see it while soaking outside. The bath with color 々 is also disappointing. Meals are normal. The soup powder that only women specially served was very delicious and I was happy. While I think young people and foreigners are working hard, I can't hear the basic words in the basics of the hospitality business from the mouth of the veteran man at the store and the front desk, ”thank you” It was uncomfortable. Because you use travel support? Because it's not a high room? I felt bad at 2 times I called in advance. Is it really a high-class inn?
