The booking I've made through ******* was not honored. We were told the very day at the front desk that there was no room available and that was due to ******* system failure. We were expelled and had to find another hotel in a neighboring town 30 minutes away by car, as all other hotels around were full.
Contacted immediately *******, but ******* chat said that the booking cannot be cancelled as the "stay has already been engaged" and that the refund shall be dealt with the property. The property says I have to cancel with ******* first. The phone call with ******* agent that followed the chat was interrupted unilaterally as the agent"didn't hear me"!
The situation is outrageous. ******* has confirmed me the booking was made and retrieved money from my card. ******* should refund me, as it didn't live up to what they promised, and then, ask the property to refund it.
I urge ******* to take immediate action along this line.
