"The hotel is conveniently located in the northern portion of LiJiang ancient town, easy access to the village within a few mins walk as well as the observation viewpoint high located above the town for a panoramic view of the whole village! The service is impeccable, the hotel staff will help to cart your luggages from the nearest drop off point to the hotel as it is located within the village that is not accessible by car! The location is quiet, cozy, comfortable, and with helpful staff that are ready at your request! I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting this lovely ancient town!"

"Location: Right in the heart of the city center, making it super convenient for shopping, exploring, and hitting all the tourist spots – all within walking distance! It's a really lively area. Facilities: This is a new hotel, and it's quite clean. The rooms must be disinfected after each guest, as I could smell a slight hint of bleach 😊 Service: Parking at the hotel isn't very convenient; it's in a building across the street. However, I was really touched when I called the front desk because I had too much luggage and couldn't find the elevator. Two lovely ladies from the front desk immediately came over to the parking lot to help me with my bags. Their service-mindedness is truly commendable!"

"Super efficient pick-up service- appreciate the speediness as our flight landed in the wee hours of the morning. Great location being close to the airport for us to rest up. There are multiple dedicated check in porches which provides a private check-in service. Room and bedsheets are clean, with the pillows being super comfortable as a plus! Strongly recommended! :)"

"The staff here are incredibly welcoming and personable! We stayed for three days and two nights, and on our second day, we met some friends from the US. We all chatted together about how enthusiastic the guesthouse staff were, and how amazing the breakfast and afternoon tea spreads were! You can see the snow-capped mountains from both the rooms and the common areas! It's hard to believe this price includes so much – excellent value for money! I can totally understand why so many foreigners choose to stay here! During our three-day stay, we met people from Thailand, the US, and Russia. Usually, guesthouses don't include lunch or dinner, but during one of our afternoon tea sessions, we asked the staff, and they mentioned that if we needed it, we could just let them know in advance. It's a shame it rained during our visit; otherwise, the scenery would have been even more stunning! Due to the weather, we also asked the staff for advice on some of our activities. When we ran into issues buying tickets for Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, they proactively offered to help us sort it out. If you're a social butterfly, this place is highly recommended! You can strike up conversations during afternoon tea. At first, the staff seemed a bit reserved, and honestly, so were we, haha. From their perspective, they probably weren't sure if guests wanted to chat. So, if you're looking to connect, feel free to be a bit more proactive – we certainly got to know them better over afternoon tea!"

"This guesthouse was the most pleasant surprise of my Lijiang trip! The location is perfect – just a few steps from the main street of the Old Town, yet completely secluded from the noise. The courtyard is exquisitely maintained and so therapeutic; sitting there in the afternoon, sipping tea and sunbathing was pure bliss. The entire place was spotlessly clean, the bathroom had plenty of hot water, and the soundproofing was excellent, ensuring an undisturbed rest. The owner was incredibly kind and genuine, proactively recommending local eateries and even thoughtfully preparing tea and snacks. It's a fantastic spot for photos too! It felt like having a peaceful little home in the Old Town. I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone visiting Lijiang!"

"This hotel is located right in the city center, with a lively pedestrian street and plenty of great food options downstairs. The halal beef pancakes right outside are delicious and always have a long queue! If you turn right out of the hotel and pass Nanning Street, you'll reach Shuncheng Shopping Mall, which boasts numerous restaurants. The Wuyi Road metro station is also right next to it. You can easily walk to Cuihu Park and several other pedestrian streets from the hotel, making dining and shopping incredibly convenient. The hotel breakfast offers a wide variety of dishes, including local Yunnan specialties like Er'si and rice noodles. The hotel maintains the high standards of Sheraton (Marriott), and the room facilities are excellent. The lovely front desk staff even upgraded my room and gave me a fruit platter. My room on the 28th floor offered expansive city views. For transportation to Kunming Station, if you're in a hurry, I'd recommend a taxi as there might not be a direct metro line due to the complex underground structure of the old city. One suggestion I have is to place ashtrays (or poles) outside the entrance. This would prevent guests who step out to smoke from a non-smoking hotel from littering cigarette butts."

"The hotel is beautiful and spacious, with a wonderful Southeast Asian vibe. The staff are all incredibly kind and enthusiastic. Our room was very clean, and the attention to detail was excellent. The restaurant offers a rich variety of dishes, and the environment is very pleasant. The only minor downside was that the swimming pool water was a bit cool. Overall, we were very satisfied. My family and I really enjoyed our two-night stay at the Intercontinental."

"We had a fantastic 6 nights stay at this newly built hotel, we felt very much welcomed upon checking in by Mr. Li and Miss Huang, everyone at this hotel from the front desk staff to the breakfast chef were extremely friendly and helpful, the hotel is quite new so all facilities are very clean and modern, the room we stayed in was spacious, well equipped, comfortable bed, luxurious beddings, the room we booked has a very nice patio where we had our morning tea and evening gin and tonic, the hotel entrance is facing the old city’s 苍山门。 this hotel is perfectly located, within short walking distance from the old city, lots of great restaurants and coffee shops, the renowned local north gate food market is about 5 minutes walking distance. Highly recommend this hotel"

"We had a bit of a disappointing experience at the Jiatu Scenic Hotel. The room listing states ‘lake view’ so we booked that room, however, it turns out that this room does not face the lake and has an internal car par window instead. The listing photos conveniently have the net curtains of the windows drawn so you can’t see this from the inside photos. The receptionist insisted the Trip.com listing was accurate because the hotel was near the lake and therefore a ‘lake view’. They would not change us to a room with the lake view that we believed we booked, despite having multiple lake-view rooms available and us checking in at 10.30pm. They insisted the only way we could change the room was to cancel our booking (and incur a 50% cancellation fee) and rebook the more expensive ‘sea-view’ room instead. We contacted Trip.com who spoke to the hotel also but they were unwilling to help or move us, despite the room not matching the listing description. Trip themselves were very helpful and offered us some compensation. In the end we stayed in the room we’d booked with no lake view. The room itself was lovely and spacious, had storage options and was clean and tidy. If we’d booked knowing this didn’t have a lake view then it would have been perfect! The location is near the station which is great if you’re there for one night, however we were there for 2 nights and had to travel 40 minutes to get to Dali Old Town or the 28 bends ecological corridor, so personally if I were to come to Dali again I would choose a hotel in that location instead. It is worth noting that the hotel is across the road from the lake, so you can see cars and the road even in the lakeside view rooms."

"My stay here far exceeded my expectations. The room was spotlessly clean, with meticulous attention to detail everywhere. The mattress was just right – neither too soft nor too firm – and the soundproofing was excellent, making for a wonderfully quiet night. Check-in at the front desk was quick and smooth, and the staff were polite and responsive to all requests. The location is superb, making dining and getting around very convenient. Overall, it felt cozy and secure, making it a top choice for accommodation in this city. I've already recommended it to friends and look forward to staying again."
