Guest UserThe hotel is located on a private island, which was a fun experience as we had to take the free shuttle boat provided by the hotel to get in and out. The boats ran frequently. One evening, even though it wasn't shuttle time, they arranged a special boat just for me to go back to the hotel and rest. I booked a one-bedroom suite, but the hotel upgraded me to a two-bedroom suite. Both were over 100 square meters, but the extra room added more functionality, which was perfect for us as we just wanted to relax at the hotel. The three of us had a wonderful rest. There's a private beach, though the sand isn't very fine, and the sea in Langkawi generally isn't the clearest. Breakfast was hit or miss; sometimes good, sometimes not so good. Compared to another hotel we stayed at, we were very satisfied here. We were the only three Chinese guests at the hotel. The front desk staff had a strong English accent, but my child's English is good, so it wasn't an issue for us. The swimming pool water wasn't crystal clear; it was a bit murky. The service in Malaysia felt very straightforward, without much smiling, which might be a cultural thing. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel.

My stay at A Coral Reefs Resort from 21â23 March started off acceptable, but what happened after check-out was deeply disappointing and raises serious concerns about the hotelâs professionalism and integrity.
After I had already left the property and arrived at the airport, I received a call accusing me of being involved in a missing RM1200 reported by three foreign guests. This accusation was based solely on a vague CCTV clip showing me sitting in the lobby and putting something into my pocket.
Let me be absolutely clear: such an allegation, made without concrete evidence, is irresponsible and unacceptable.
The hotelâs account of the incident was inconsistent and unreliable. I was first told the money was left on a table, and later it was claimed to be inside a pair of pants. The inability to establish even the most basic facts seriously calls into question the credibility of the entire claim.
Even more concerning is the timeline. If the alleged incident took place on 21 March, why was I only contacted on 23 March, after I had already checked out and reached the airport? This delay reflects either poor internal handling or a lack of proper investigation.
The CCTV clip provided was incomplete and unclear. It merely shows me placing my own personal belongings (my phone and medicated oil) into my pocket. There is absolutely no evidence that I handled or took any cash.
Relying on such selective and inconclusive footage to imply wrongdoing is not only unprofessional, but also unfairly damaging to a guestâs reputation.
We have formally requested the full CCTV footage to ensure transparency and proper verification of facts. Failure to provide complete and unedited recordings will only further undermine the credibility of this accusation.
If this matter is not handled appropriately, we will not hesitate to escalate it through formal complaint channels.
Guests should be aware that without clear evidence, this establishment is willing to cast suspicion based on assumptions rather than facts.

WasabiRFacilities: While not a brand-new hotel, it boasts its own nature reserve ambiance. All rooms are individual wooden bungalows, offering different mountain and ocean views! The rooms are spacious! The balcony is very comfortable!
Hygiene: The cleaning was excellent and very thorough!
Environment: As soon as you enter, it feels like a giant natural garden combining forest and ocean. You can spot dusky leaf monkeys and hornbills everywhere, truly a wonderful ecosystem! There's no need to go out to see any other attractions when you're here! The pool is also very comfortable, not crowded, and the drinks at the pool bar are delicious!
Service: Excellent! I received a birthday surprise, a handwritten blessing, a birthday cake, and an upgrade to a sea-view wooden chalet. The hotel is truly thoughtful and generous. They wished me a happy birthday during check-in, and the room was decorated with a little surprise! It feels like the hotel genuinely cares about guests' special occasions, even though I hadn't requested any of these in advance! So, I was very touched!

Guest UserOur stay at Parkroyal Langkawi (Timeless Love By The Sea package) in Chenang was one of the highlights of our extended Malaysia trip.
We hadnât originally planned to stay here. While walking the full length of the lively Chenang beach from our Airbnb, we wandered into the hotel grounds and were immediately impressed by the well-maintained facilities and beautiful beachfront.
What we thought was a private beach turned out to be wonderfully welcoming. We sat on the deck chairs, watched a couple enjoying a romantic beach dinner, and decided we wanted that experience too.
After checking the rates, we found the pricing reasonable for a family. We booked directly with the hotel for two nights in a Premier Ocean View King Room, followed by two nights in Deluxe Ocean View Double Queen rooms via Trip.com.
The entire experience truly felt 5-star. We had read mixed reviews beforehand and went in with realistic expectations, but we were pleasantly surprised â almost everything exceeded what we anticipated.
Check-in & Service
On arrival, Hafeez handled our check-in smoothly. Since we were already on the island, we didnât need the airport transfer, but we asked about using the return transfer for our whole family (including children arriving later). Concierge Saravannan went above and beyond by crediting the value of both transfers toward a larger 6-seater vehicle. We only needed a small Grab for the rest. This flexibility left a strong first impression.
The Room
Our Premier Ocean View Room (922) was excellent â stunning sea views, a large circular bathtub, an incredibly comfortable bed, and luxurious shower facilities. Minor signs of wear were easy to overlook. The room was high enough to avoid most pool and jet-ski noise, and we even enjoyed distant fireworks. The welcome chocolate pralines and sparkling wine were lovely touches.
Dining
The daily buffet breakfast was superb â a generous spread of Western and local dishes. We ate so well that lunch was rarely needed.
Our first dinner at Cassia was decent, especially the sweet-and-sour fish with its nice charred flavour, though the pasta portion was small. Direct booking gave us RM50 F&B credit per day, which added good value.
The undisputed highlight was our Candlelight Dinner on the lawn facing the beach. The beautifully decorated table made us feel like royalty. Service from Faheem, a 21-year-old staff member, was outstanding â attentive and proactive. A brief rain shower interrupted us after the first two courses, but the team quickly moved us into Lancava with the same setup. The food was excellent, especially the Sea Bass and Vongole pasta (flavourful clams with no fishy taste). The chef Mr Zul even came out personally to explain the dish.
We saved dessert for the Ocean View Lounge, where Izzat served us cake and complimentary coffee. The coordination across departments was impressive.
Second Stay & Family Time
For our second subsequent booking, the hotel prepared one of the Deluxe Ocean View Double Queen rooms early. A porter moved all our luggage so we could relax comfortably. The kids loved the pool, organised activities, playground, and kidsâ club. The Deluxe rooms were spacious, though the sliding door sensor was overly sensitive compared to our Premier room.
We enjoyed stepping out for affordable local food just across the street or into bustling Chenang. Breakfast was peaceful when we went early (7â8 am).
This is one of the most detailed reviews Iâve ever written, but Parkroyal Langkawi genuinely earned it. From the warm Malaysian hospitality and constant smiles to the thoughtful service touches, every staff member helped create wonderful memories. It was the perfect relaxing end to our Malaysia trip â money very well spent.
Weâd like to extend our sincere thanks to the entire team!

If you're traveling with kids, book a room by the pool. Just slide the glass door and you're right in the water. The breakfast is really good, with a lot of protein. Refill service is super fast. Even during busy season, the buffet stays well-stocked through breakfast. The beach has plenty of sun beds, and the spot itself is fantastic. That said, in my experience, the jet skis and other activities make the beach and nearby area feel more commercial than private. Itâs not your typical huge resort with buggies and all-inclusive, but itâs perfect for a quick two-night stay, good breakfast, clean beach, and sunbathing.. Cenang Mall is about a 15-minute walk, and there are lots of small restaurants nearby. Keep in mind, when we stayed there, there was construction next door, so the views and noises werenât ideal for a holiday.

TacksâWe had a very enjoyable stay at Ombak Villa Langkawi. The resort is located in a peaceful setting by the sea and offers beautiful sunset views. Our room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, with all the amenities needed for a relaxing stay.
The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our visit, and the swimming pool area was a great place to unwind. The resort is also conveniently located close to the airport while still feeling quiet and secluded. Breakfast offered a good variety of options, and the overall atmosphere was calm and relaxing.
The only minor downside was that some areas of the property could benefit from a little updating, but this did not affect our overall experience. We would happily recommend Ombak Villa Langkawi to anyone looking for a comfortable and affordable stay in Langkawi.

Anonymous UserThe front desk staff were pleasant and welcoming, taking the time to explain the facilities and amenities available around the property. However, the check-in process felt somewhat disorganized, as our passports were collected and we were asked to wait at the side without much further guidance.
The room itself was spacious, clean, and comfortable. We were pleasantly surprised to find the bed beautifully decorated with towel art, along with a complimentary dessert after we made a special request, despite having no expectations of receiving anything from the hotel. My husband and I truly appreciated the thoughtful gesture, it made us feel warmly welcomed.
Unfortunately, the breakfast experience did not quite meet the standards we would expect from a 5-star hotel. The staff appeared somewhat inexperienced, and service was inconsistent. When we arrived, there were no available tables, yet we were instructed to enter and find a table ourselves. This left us feeling awkward as we stood around waiting for other guests to finish their meals. What made the experience more disappointing was that a family who arrived after us was promptly escorted to a table, while we were left to continue waiting, which felt unfair. We also had to repeatedly request utensils as some tables were properly set while others were not. While these may seem like minor issues individually, together they affected the overall dining experience and fell short of the level of service we would expect from a hotel that positions itself as a 5-star property.
Overall, we enjoyed the room, hospitality, and thoughtful touches provided by the hotel. The stay had many positive aspects, but improvements in breakfast operations and service consistency would go a long way toward delivering the luxury experience that guests expect.

Anonymous UserLocation hotel okay, dekat dgn exit highway. Bawah hotel ada kedai2 makan , ada convenience shop speedmart dekat area hotel, depan hotel ada hospital Pantai and not far from the hotel ada Shopping Mall. The room is spacious and the bed is comfy but not the pillows. If u wanna find a place to stay for a short stay like 2days or 3days, can consider this hotel.

Anonymous UserThe amenities were great,( i didnt try, but they look nice), nice infinity pool, located at the beach side. Breakfast area was nice, great deaogn, food variation was okay. I get to enjoy a nice sunset at the beach. The downside is the cleanliness of the room. The room smells of cigarette, so I asked for room freshener. They came and sprayed, but the smell still linger. I didnt say anything since I was quite tired. The floor was not vacuum, I can feel the sand on the floor when I stepped into the room, there are a lot at the room entrance. I had to wear slipper everytime. The space near the toilet was a bit cleaner, but still can feel the sand. It is not comfortable to pray. The WC was dirty, got yellowish stain at the bowl. The check in experience was not really smooth for me. I arrived at 1pm, asking if I can check in early, and they said the room was not ready, so I understand. I waited for 40 minutes, but it was still not ready. Then I went out for work, came back at 6.30 pm, but the check in was still not ready, and I need to wait for a while to get my room card even though they said that a room was assigned, I thought they have checked in for me, but no, they asked for my ID again. I left my luggage earlier, and they just left it in the open. The window locked was broken, even when I try to close, it opened by itself, no wonder I can hear the loud music and animal sound (like a bird or something, its loud and i can here it throughout my stay) I only realized that the window opened itself in the morning because the lock was broken, no wonder the aircond was not cold. I didnt realize because i didnt open the curtain till the next morning. Overall experience was not so good with the room, I was tired and upset with the room cleanliness. Apart from the ambience and the pool area, I dont think the hotel is up to 4-star standard in terms of cleanliness and hospitality.
