When you come to Dali, you cannot miss the Zuo Xia Shan Fang in Dali Ancient Town!

This is my third day in Dali, and today we arrived at Zuo Xia Shan Fang, which is only a 10-minute drive from Dali Ancient Town. This homestay and tea room is located in a quiet corner of Dehe Village. There is a big tree in the village where several elderly people sit and chat about family matters. Although I don't understand their language, the happy and joyful expressions on their faces indicate that the local customs are very simple, and the locals can be happy all day over a small matter. We contacted the homestay owner 5 minutes before arriving to pick us up. Booking a homestay online sometimes really feels like meeting someone in person for the first time, but this time it was a pleasant surprise! Upon entering the homestay, we were greeted by a courtyard designed in an oriental Zen style. The homestay also has a backyard, and the owner said that after the Dali windy season passes, it will be possible to set up tents there for camping. There is also a Maine Coon mix cat quietly sleeping in the homestay. The owner said that this cat was found on the streets of Chengdu, possibly bitten by a dog, causing severe injuries to its belly and buttocks. She couldn't bear to let it just wait to die on the street, so she took it to a pet hospital. Perhaps it was the cat's will to survive, or perhaps it was the mercy of a kind-hearted deity, but after half a month in the hospital, it miraculously recovered. So, it became the guardian and mascot of this homestay. The lobby of the homestay is a tea room where you can sit down and have a tea chat. The owner brewed us Yunnan black tea, which is mellow and slightly sweet. During the conversation, we learned that the owner is from Sichuan and loves Dali so much that she visits every year. On a serendipitous occasion, she came to the Zuo Xia Shan Fang and was attracted by a special aura that made her stay. Indeed, upon entering this courtyard, it seems as if all the noise from the outside suddenly becomes silent, giving a very calming feeling. Perhaps out of deep love for Dali, the owner has come to regard this place as her second hometown and treats guests who stay for a long time as friends or even family. As a result, every departure is reluctant and tearful. What warms her heart even more is that some guests will return to Dali to contact her and come back to this courtyard. Dali has countless homestays with unique characteristics, but each one has its own story and sentiment. Finally, we welcome everyone to the Zuo Xia Shan Fang, a homestay with oriental charm and tatami-style private baths. Just like the name of the homestay, may the life of every guest be as splendid as summer flowers! We hope that friends who have been to Dali will have a reason to visit again because they like the sentiment and service of this homestay! Thank you for watching this homestay story sharing session. Follow me and listen to the stories of the homestays! I am Pei Wei, a Hanfu-wearing, English-teaching, travel-loving cat owner! Zuo Xia Shan Fang Homestay in Dali Ancient Town
